That sure looked like the 4mm went straight in, and the 6mm had a lot of vertical wobble, so its energy wasn't as efficiently transferred to going through the gel.

They made it a more controlled environment by making each shaft the same weight, if you wanted less flex on the 6mm it would weigh more and most likely penetrate just as deep as a result. The result displayed how the smaller diameter penetrated deeper, 2 arrows of different weight would be an extra variable

4mm has less gpi than 6mm, so to match arrow weights they had to use a less spine 6mm, probably 6mm was 400 and 4mm was 340 spine. Which ofcourse when fired from up close the 6mm would wiggle around a lot. They should have taken the shots from 20 yards than it would be more fair comparison. Also noticed field tips were not the same on both, as in different shapes.

Also the 4 mm shaft was Aluminium which is slicker than carbon like the 6mm was

@49sec it looks like the two arrows had different points, would that make a big difference?

So the why not just have 1 shaft...a 5mm?? So why the choices between the two?

Unfair comparison. In addition to what others are saying, one was fletched with blazers, the other one not. Different drag/arrow rotations will cause different arrow velocities, and thus, different momentum.
@calebgamblin27872 жыл бұрын
momentum is mass x velocity, velocity is change in position over change in time. different drag will cause arrows to have a different force.

And weightdiffrence is another factor, besides the nonfletch and wobble! 🤣 As scientific test i belive more in reading in crumbeld bread... Well, advertising products comes in many ways.

Not much difference its a kill either way.

Someone who is shooting a lighter draw weight or shorter draw length needs every inch of penetration they can get. Nothing wrong with options.
@1989inception4 жыл бұрын
p0l1c3dude its a kill either way. Shorter draw length on both of those options equals a dead animal.. that test is a marketing strategy.

Dominique Lawson against bare gel. Hit a shoulder or rib. Shoot quartering away or quartering towards. Then there is a difference. I shoot 55lbs at 27” and I switched after a 6mm failed to penetrate a shoulder. I had the same shot and the 4mm blasted through a year later. The only switch made was arrows.
@1989inception4 жыл бұрын
p0l1c3dude just because yours failed to penetrate doesnt mean most will. The average man is pulling well over 60 pounds increasing the speed an kinetic energy. I see why your searching for better arrows due to the lack of your pull back strength 🤷🏽♂️ so yeah in your case a half and inch matters lol

Dominique Lawson I mean simple physics will say that the 4mm will be better and this isnt just marketing bs
