In '99 I finally saved up enough to buy a pair of Technics SL-1200 mk2 turntables, and set out to become a true DJ.. there were no record stores in my town, so I traveled ~200km to Italy, to the "Dance All Day" store in Monfalcone, to get my first vinyl. This store was popular among house DJs and on my first arrival, I think it was a Friday, it was already mostly looted of fresh tunes for the dancefloor. They gave me a small stack of "leftovers" of new arrivals, which nobody wanted, but when I started previewing them, I was blown away.. one of the first ones was "The more I get" from Eastwest Connection - I couldn't believe somebody would not want and pass this amazing music! There were also a few other singles from the same treasure trove that is Chillifunk Records.. in the following years I would grab every release I could get my hands on, and this album remains one of my favorites to this day (the record in the video is actually a new copy I got recently.. the first one is literally worn out from 100s of plays it got over the last couple of decades :).
