In this video I will go into detail on the EASTWOOD INPUT TUBE MODIFICATION that I spoke about in an earlier video. This will help with powder mixing and anti-surging.

I saw the other video on the Eastwood, and I'm glad I saw this one before I modified the input tube! Thanks for going into more detail. Your Diffuser Kit works great BTW, thanks.

Unfortunately he never mentioned 30 degrees in the last video and I drilled mine right in line! Not cool

@@jaredfloding7949Can easily fix that. Just use some baking soda, and super glue to fill the holes. Or some kind of glue. Then drill some in the right spot.

Hi, I have done all the modifications that you have shown on my Eastwood gun. The problem I have is that to much powder is coming out of the gun. I'm spraying at 4psi. What can I be doing wrong? Thanks Vic

Your videos on this have really helped me. I am new to powder coating and couldn't figure out why i have so much powder everywhere when i am done but yet after its out the oven its very uneven an i have to coat it again. Well i found out i should not have so much powder on the ground vs on my product an was told to get a new gun. I might try this before I do.

There is something very important that I have not done a video over yet. Your part needs to be grounded directly to a ground rod. A ground rod is a 5 or 6 foot rod that is copper coated and driven into the ground. Most houses have them. Look to see if the building you're operating out of has one of these rods, if so then connect a wire from the rod to your part. It is a must that you have your part well grounded in order to have your powder coating system work properly. If you have any questions then please conntact me via my email....cycle4fab@gmail.com Thanks for watching.

Hello , my name is Rick and I was wondering about your fist Eastwood diffuser was made from brass and the on your selling is made from aluminum I think? Why not solid copper for best conductivity ? Buy the way your videos are very informative thanks for posting them
@CycleFab

Good question! And I've been waiting for someone to ask it. Copper is more conductive but it is also more malleable (and sticky). Copper does not machine well at all, and trying to do mass production machining would not be profitable. I have had on rare occasion one-off jobs with copper and hated every moment of it. Copper works great in a swaging operation, but a cutting op is a nightmare. It sticks to any cutting tool that it touches. Thanks for watching!

Hey bud. So I bought the kobalt mini air regulator but looks different from the thumbnail in this picture. Is that a different part you screwed in the bottom to trap moisture? Fill me in please! Trying to get all my ducks in a row. 🤙🏻

Yes. That is the water/oil filter for the air, it's a Kobalt product as well. It even has a small valve on it so that you can drain the water/oil out of it.

Is there any way to extend the wires one these guns?
@darkshadowsx5949
@darkshadowsx5949 2 жыл бұрын
sure is. you could cut and splice in a spark plug wire for the high voltage line. i used hot glue to insulate the bare wire before putting on some heat shrink tubing. if your joints arent solid your going to have a bad day. i say spark plug wire because its rated for high voltage. you dont want the spark jumping through a thinly insulated wire and zapping the bejesus out of you. unless you're into that sort of thing...
