I totally understand your reasoning but as someone with a tiny bankroll and will have to build myself up through the ranks without being able to play higher…it seems basically impossible for me to do that if both you and Mark have failed the challenge when you’re both much better than me :/
@eastyyy222 жыл бұрын
To be honest, we are playing under very different parameters. It became quite clear very early that our viewers weren't going to allow us to have a normal bankroll challenge environment, and to be fair that is something we should have foreseen. We are both mentally fragile children playing in a ridiculous set of circumstances, was just inevitable! You can absolutely reach your goals mate, keep going!
@artemkorolev22572 жыл бұрын
Felling the same way, it was so inspiring in the very beginning of both those challenges, and then the reports became less detailed and rare and it all went downhill from there( But the bottom line is this - if people who are as good as you and Mark can't beat 10nl then it's literally impossible
@gach3t2 жыл бұрын
@@artemkorolev2257 No because theory goes out the window in these stakes and you need to adjust and fold TPTK when fish start piling money in and be more conservative with stacks. It's just too much theory based decisions and not enough realism. I don't know why Easty has to overthink all these hands and get massively tilted so much. Some donkey flops a set on A high board and just rips it in guys it's not hard to figure this out and fold. If you never call in this spot you'd be better off. I don't know why people who do and fail bankroll challenges like this can't get the psychological side of it and fold. People aren't bluffing at these stakes. I have beat these stakes and you need to fold to min clicks on turns with no redraws. Just putting in stacks way too liberally "because I'm supposed to call here". Why are you supposed to call? Why must you follow through bluffing on river? The players in this pool are just calling off all the time with worse. You make money at these stakes by giving bad odds to call vs their drawing ranges and going for thin value on rivers. You don't make money at these stakes by calling off bluffs or having any bluffs at all. Infact if you just literally never bluffed or called off a single river at these stakes you'd be better off. Play more tables, be more selective and put in more volume to have better showdowns than the fish. Simple as that! But nah m8 chart says I need to be 3 betting some % here or calling this river with this blocker. Just believe the fish they will tell you what hand they have with their bets and LISTEN
@artemkorolev22572 жыл бұрын
@@gach3t i am with you on most of that, and yes you don’t need nor rng or gto to play those stakes, but it’s looking ugly for all of us losers playing micros, because I have never seen any challenge like that completed, and there plenty of them youtube, amd here we are, another failed attempt
@sebastiandemzala37392 жыл бұрын
@@artemkorolev2257 i know 1 month ago so might not be related but go search for the Kalthor dude made bankroll challenge 50$ to 100.000$ within 2 months(he had some luck with winning big tournament at the end), grinding mostly R&C in GG starting from 2/5nl and he literally crushed it. Most of a time doing what was written in a comment above, that is exactly how you beat low stakes, playing tight, aggressive, overfolding, under bluffing turns/rivers and most important discipline - this is the biggest factor you can have RNG or fancy GTO which is great when you’re higher but at the bottom stakes just find fold when someone is raising and just believe that’s the way of beating it, it’s boring as fuck but you know, everyone is looking for a golden solution when in fact stake is beatable by really basic SOLID stuff avoiding anything fancy or to complicated

Your a little too emotionally invested in every hand and I did the same thing for a long time. You can change the way you think and play with some coaching and I believe you can win at a high rate. Poker is always explained in ranges and bet sizes and positions, but the most important part of poker is picking your spots where your equity is so staggering, you know you win 70%+. Stop picking mediocre spots to get called by two pair or straits. Squeezing out 8-10Bb per 100 on every hand just isn't possible.

I am mostly referring to the fact that pool size increases 4-fold if I start playing, full of people determined to make my life hell. I wanted to do a challenge that was replicable for any player, and this became a challenge I just didn't imagine it would be. If I restart it, it will be with that caveat.
@azula60392 жыл бұрын
@@eastyyy22 i get that. but people who are "determined to make your life hell" are actually boosting your winrate because they are deviating from optimal by quite a bit. yes it is not easy to handle the downswings and these "morons". but handling the guys who are not morons, handling the guys that are not making obvious ev mistakes but who spot your ev /betsize mistakes and constantly put you in spots, they are much more difficult to handle.... i am not saying continue with the challenge... just saying there are lot of excuses that are not helping you with getting to the next level.

I misclick shoved all-in pre-flop once for 120bbs at 25nl with J6o and got called by AQo and lost......I felt pretty damn pathetic then too. You should be proud of how far you got, you showed it is possible to beat 10NL despite the horrific bad beats which seem part and parcel of everyone's game. But you beat it over a reasonable sample, so kudos to that. Good luck at higher stakes, my own view is that if you're gonna make money playing poker you need to get to 200nl as fast as possible.
