If golems aren’t spawning or if just cats are spawning, take away all the beds, add them one by one till all villagers are linked THEN ADD 2 more extra beds (preferably in the open area in the 2x2 open spot in the middle of the beds), if done correctly those two beds won’t have villagers linked. I did this after days of trouble shooting and it finally works!! Just needed extra beds for when the villagers get unlinked

Thanks Slacck! My farm was just spawning cats. So I searched if anyone had encountered the same problem, and I saw your comment. Being quite lazy, I didn't want to remove all the beds again and also to try to put two additional beds in the middle. So I decided to first just add 2 beds to the vacant spots on the end of each side. And IT WORKED! In the next minute, 4 golems had spawned.

For anyone curious like i was, you can build two of them close too each other. I built them with 100 block bridge between them and a afk spot right in the middle and they both run with no issues. Also the easy way to deal with getting the farm running is to fully build it, then put 2 villagers in the glass cage then remove a fletching table and throw them some food to breed them while they are already in the glass. This way they automatically grow and take their job.

Just finished building this farm in survival. Everything was easy to build and the tutorial explained everything perfectly. The farm generates about 1 stack of iron ingots every 5 minutes. I added an extra hopper and double chest to avoid the chest overflowing. Great video

I just did the design in the air over an ocean with villagers on a platform with a 4 block space under it so the golems can go into the hole. And the platform holds 20 beds. Trick is to build up real far and use scaffolds to transport yourself up and down

For anyone having issues with golems not spawning... apparently you have to wait for the villagers to work for an entire day before they start producing golems. Additionally I recommend closing the game and reopening it, worked instantly when I did this. Hope this helps.

I just build this and here are the results after 10 hours of AFK : Around 3,300 iron ingots 15 stacks of poppy's This farm is 100% worth it , I highly recommend going AFK while you sleep. Pretty easy to build (except the villagers) and provides a lot, 9/10

@@adjacenteli7775if you eat a pork chop/beef or anything that fills saturation to 100% (your hunger bar won’t shake) then you cannot starve as long as you don’t reduce your saturation to 0 before going afk. Your hunger bar will simply not deplete

Not sure if other people were having the same problem, but all I was getting was cats. I re did beds and work stations multiple times and nothing changed. I checked under my build and there were no caves, nothing within 100+ blocks in Amy directions. Saw on multiple forums people had the same issues even with different builds. Someone stated the villagers now have to actually sleep. Not sure how true that is, but to fix the issue/ check it out, I extended the glass walls all of the way down to the leaves and broke out the floor so they could reach the beds. Started working like a charm. Also Someone mentioned having 5 cats to help stop them from spawning up top, so I brought some over and sure enough it stopped. So if anyone's having the same issues, there's so possible solutions! Thanks for the video, I've made a lot of your auto farms and they always work out great!

@@itsmepuppet8681 make sure to un-link beds and work stations first, bring the walls down to where you have the leaves (solid blocks for the beds) so that you're basically in a room with all 20 villagers. Make sure there's no green villagers. Then do beds one at a time and male sure they're towards the center of your farm, the first villager to link will be roughly where the golem will spawn. Do the beds so you can make sure each one links. Then do the work stations (I did mine in the walls where so they're level where villagers can use them, that's important because they have to work for an entire minecraft day for them to spawn stuff first). Making sure you have 5 tamed cats there will help too. Afterwards, wait one full minecraft day and hopefully it'll help.

Little tip to save space, a 1x3 hole will also give you infinite water if you place both water buckets on each side of the 1x3 hole (take the water from the middle, the water on each side will flow back to the center, filling it with a source block)

I do not have the answer to that. I just carted in the new villages (young and old) from the villager farm. For the villager farm, I just grabbed two working villagers (that I had not traded with) from a village about 200 blocks away. I do not know if the same rule applies to the villager farm but I imagine that you could pull any working villagers for that one. The hardest part of the villager farm is getting them there. Making new villagers and carting them to the iron farm was super easy.

Hey ​@@IIumii, I can confirm this farm is working for me on my Nintendo Switch version of Minecraft, Bedrock that is. It takes a while, but is very worth it. The farm will produce cats and iron golems btw. Just make sure to run a regular day/night cycle, and you’ll need to be next to the farm for it work (or at least I do anyway), so just do a little collecting from it every day and you’ll have stacks of iron in no time like I’ve been getting - good luck! 🤙🏻

I built this farm for years and it always worked smoothly. Now it has suddenly stopped. It was only producing cats, so I tried to relink the beds, to no effect, I didn't see green particles over all the beds, but continued to tear down the work stations as well to start over. I removed all beds in a 140 block radius, all 20 villagers have been traded with and are linked to a fletching table work station. Yet when I put a bed under the glass chamber no green particles show up! What am I missing?

@@mooshl Consider the following points: 1. The farm should be 100-150 blockes away from any beds or villagers (except the farms'), workstations or caves. If there are caves, light them up. If you can't find any such area, build it 100-150 blockes in the sky above a sea. 2. Make sure you don't use villagers with whom you have traded before,baby villagers or nitwits (villagers wearing green coats). 3. Make sure there are exactly 20 fletchers. 4. Make the outer area of the farm spawn-proof by adding leaves as shown above. 5. Make 5-6 tamed cats sit near the farm. This is because the spawn rate is approximately 40% and 60% for cats and iron golems in a village. If you let those cats sit near the farm, you might get a 100% golem spawn rate. 6. Wait for a day and restart the game because it takes villagers' complete day work for golems to spawn. 7. The villagers should be unoccupied before you bring them to the farm, and then give them jobs once they are inside the farm. 8. Make sure you're not on peaceful mode. These are all the factors for an iron farm to work. If the farm meets all these circumstances, it will DEFINITELY work. Check them out; if it still does not work, maybe you're on Java Edition or below 1.20 Minecraft Bedrock Edition.

UPDATE; as of January 2024, on bedrock 1.20 it works perfectly. Adding on, you *do* need 20 beds but you only need 10 full grown villagers for iron golems to start spawning. Leave a like if this helps!

I love this video. I’ll admit, I was concerned it wasn’t going to work because I built mine in fairly close proximity to the village. The key to successfully building it within the village is actually stated in the video. When you remove all the beds and the tasks the villagers perform, then it essentially ceases to exist (not physically). I had discovered this quite accidentally. I have not been playing for very long and had previously raided the village of it’s beds (a friend and I cleared a dark forest mansion and we’re going to re-utilize them there - since the beds were already constructed, it saved me from using my own materials to make them). At the time, I also hoarded most everything else for my own use, so essentially the villagers no longer had “jobs”. When I came across this video, I was first pacing out the distance from the village to find a suitable location for it. We cleared an area and flattened the terrain roughly large enou to accommodate it. When we began construction, I was unsure of one thing: do gardens count? I figured they did and removed them as well. As we neared completion of getting the villagers inside (this included breeding more), cats started spawning inside and were being killed off, but golems were not spawning. I was fearful that all this work had gone to waste and we would have to go through the arduous task of disassembling it and relocating everything elsewhere. Fortunately, once all the villagers were inside and both beds and tasks were taken, the golems started spawning and it was working!!! Success!! For those who are unaware, the cats will continue to spawn inside and get killed off, but so will golems and there may be lapses between spawns (meaning cats or golems my not spawn immediately, but may be a full minute or so before it begins again). Believe me, I had a hell of a time with the villagers which took me awhile to sort out, so I was really stressed out by that and whether this was going to work. It all paid off in the end and works wonderfully. So to sum up, you don’t need to build it a great distance from the village itself. Remove all beds and tasks and build it right there.

@@nafsii04, I really don’t know. I was curious about that too. Why 20? You go into any village and there’s about a dozen villagers and they have an Iron Golem, so I don’t know where the 20 comes from.

This was probably the most straightforward and helpful tutorial for Minecraft I’ve seen. You went slow and explained things really well. Definitely subscribing! ❤ Also if you can’t get it to work and tried 2 extra beds and replacing fletching tables. You have to do it very slowly. Wait a couple seconds after you see the green particles to place the next bed/table. Sometimes it can respond slowly especially if you’ve built a lot in your world.

Is there a way you could maybe explain if you did anything to problem solve? I cant seem to get it to work. I have the 20 villagers, and the spawn area and killing area with collection area. Im not seeing any cats or golems. Im unsure what to do, from here.

14/12/2022 - took me 40 minutes to build everything until the villagers. Because i didnt have a villager breeder, i had to free 2 and make a breeding facility 100 blocks away. That took all day to get them breeding and grow up. Its now 17:33, the farm works (even on peacefull). I now have a gold farm AND an iron farm side by side. I have unlimited resources. Suck on that Thanos!

Be really careful when you're building this that there's no hidden space where the golems could spawn under the leaves. I was just about ready to tear the whole thing down and I found a couple of them hiding, don't make this mistake it took me ages to figure out !! Otherwise, great build and video :)

9/18/23 STILL WORKS! I had to break the blocks that the villigers were standing on and then put glass so they couldn’t get out but as long as they are all in a job and the beds are set right it works on 1.20!!! First one I’ve ever built I already have half a stack of iron while I’m typing this! Thank you JC❤️

I made this in May 2023 and it works great. I made a few aesthetic changes, as the premise is the same so long as it’s spawn proof. It wouldn’t work initially though so I had to break the beds and work stations multiple times and drop the villagers down onto the beds so they can actually sleep, then after the first night, as soon as the villagers woke I got my first golem. First bed needs to be under the kill box as in the video. I have also placed an extra 2 beds to avoid unlinked villagers.

To make it more efficient, u can make a trading hall in your villagers area , make a room for each villager using trapdoors and sure that they have their own workstation in their spot .. i think 7x7 area is enough to build a trading hall with each villagers have a room . My iron golem farm is so compact, 5x5 killing chamber , 5x5 bed area, 7x7 villagers (trading hall )

PRO TIP: To increase iron golem spawn rates place 5+ tamed cats around the top of the wall, this will stop or at least greatly decrease cat spawns therefore increasing iron golem spawns

I used composters instead of fletchers and made all my villagers farmers. Works as good.

It's very rare for me to comment on a YT video and I've been a JC fan for a long time. I went back to build this iron farm because JC is one of my minecraft YTbers that i trust for building things when im in my survival world so i dont waste time. Ill give this farm a 7/10 the start was very good. I had 2 golems spawning at the same time. The next day I only had cats spawning. I had to break all beds and work shops and added two more beds. I usually have about one golem spawn every 40 seconds or 2 golems every 50 seconds which is uncommon. The golems dont spawn at night unless you stay in the farm at day time throughout night time. Overall the farm is good but not great. If you want something fast or you know how to make adjustments this is a good farm, if you cant id pick something else. Overall keep up the good work JC! P.s if you are wondering how much iron per hour, the numbers are very mixed up because you might get 2 golems sometimes or one right after so ill estimate about 350 per hour

Can't get it to work Edit: I did eventually get the farm to work. I was having trouble with linking the villagers to beds. I could not for the life of me get them to stay linked to a single bed. I tried replacing them one by one several times. What I ended up doing was creating a much larger area for the villagers and made their beds actually accessible to them. This way, they won't get unlinked from their bed. I've had zero issues so far. Also I recommend taming 5 cats and putting them on the leaves on the wall of the spawning area. This will prevent cats from spawning and taking up a golem spawn. This isn't necessary to the farm though. A few important things to note for noobs like myself: 1. You only need a minimum of 10 villagers for one golem spawn. If you're just looking for a more casual farm rate, you only NEED 10, but never more than 20. It affects the farm very little if at all. You do still need 20 beds regardless of villager numbers. If you'd still like 20 villagers, I highly recommend building a breeding station instead of getting all 20 manually. 2. Make sure there are no caves underneath your farm. Iron golem have a habit of trying to spawn literally anywhere but the spawning area. Easy way to bypass this is by building 30+ blocks in the air. Make sure that your AFK platform is made of leaves just as the walls are. Golems may spawn on the platform otherwise. 3. I believe the video mentioned this, but make sure the farm is 100-150 blocks away from any village and workstation. Villagers will sometimes unlink from the workstation you want them to and link to another that you may have nearby. 4. This iron farm may not work or be overall less effective at night. This is because villagers only work during the day and have their own daily routine. Just wait until morning. 5. If you're building in the air, be sure to have torches in the spawning area. The game may spawn other hostile mobs in the area. I am not sure if this affects golem spawns, but do it anyway unless you don't mind them being there. 6. This farm does NOT work UNLESS you are in close proximity to it. AFK at this farm here and there, especially when taking breaks. Just leave your conosle or PC on for a bit and it'll produce enough iron where you should never have iron problems again.

I had the same problem with only cats spawning after multiple resets of the fletching table, bed, and even the villagers (RIP 30+ cats). And before I attempted to make the villager chamber and the bed area into one (based on some other comments), I actually tried putting some cats in the villager chamber which stopped the cats from spawning but didn't help with the iron golem spawn (at least I don't think it did). Then as a last resort I threw a bed into the villager chamber (1 bed) and, at sunset, one of the villager fell asleep on the bed and golems started spawning. Farm has been working nonstop ever since. Also I got a second golem to spawn after trapping some zombies into glass cages attached to the side of the villager chamber (which I knew worked in Java but it seems to have somewhat of an effect in Bedrock as well).

The reason it worked when you added a zombie is because there are 2 ways villagers will spawn golems 1. Gossip: needs 5+ viligars and they need to not be scared 2. Scared: needs 3+ viligars, they need to be scared by a zombie So there you go lol, both methods have a lot more differences but those are the two main important ones

You could also just get two villagers in the villager chamber and breed them to make more. In my world i build a modified version of your previous iron farm where instead of different pods i just let the villagers stay directly on top of the beds and i surrounded them with the workstations. This took a lot of the headache out of getting the right block assigned to the right villager etc and it works well getting around a doublechest and a half full overnight (around 7 hours)

Ive built this in creative and have placed beds and work stations numerous time. No beds or work stations within 100 blocks. Its still not working. In fact some of the villagers are appearing to have professions from different work stations. I used villlager eggs when testing it, could this be the reason, as I see they spawn with a random profession at the start? Do they have to be blank/bread villagers?

make sure you are putting the villagers in first, then make sure you are placing the beds and waiting for the green particles before placing another… after placing all 20 beds then place the work stations one at a time also waiting for green particles… ive used the villager eggs and they connect to the fletching table with no issues… sometimes you may have to switch from peaceful to hard/normal a couple times before the golems start to spawn… and definitely make sure there are no green coats or babies

@@jillharrison8484 I have done it in the correct order and something is not right. I add 20 Villagers. All adults, no green coats. Add the beds in order. All particles show correctly. Add all work stations, all get green particles. Then not all villagers become fletchers. Some are armourers and other trades. Ive built this no where near other work stations, so cant work out why they are taking other trades. To make it more confusing, I can keep dropping fletching tables and eventually they all become a fletcher....Still no IG spawns tho 🥲

If the golems aren’t spawning or it’s only cats, extend the walls down so the villagers can sleep in the beds. They need to be able to sleep for the golems to spawn. It instantly worked after this!
