I know it's done now but for future reference on how to apply sheets of adhesive back things, look up dbrand skins for laptop and tablets. They have install videos that are really good and the concept would apply here too. You removed the entire backer, move it a small amount and re-apply it to the adhesive side, leaving a thin edge of the sticky part exposed. Then you can align that sticky edge correctly without the entire piece sticking to everything. Once the edge is aligned you can slowly peel back the backer while smoothing out any bubbles as you stick the rest of the sheet down.

It looks ok, but man, I can't believe you laid out $300 for that tin shelf with a curtain rod and a curtain: you could have spent half that and done it yourself by using local sheet metal company (the bending part for the lips of the shelf), a trip to either Wally World or Bed, Bath, and Beyond for the curtain rod and curtain, and Ace Hardware for appropriate brackets. What I've just described was how we use to do it 'Old School', because no one had $300 to waste on 'peripherals'; we put the large jingle into Cragar Wheels and quality rubber, or buying higher end Portholes for the rear of the vans, or higher end Air Vent for roof installations. Sorry to step on your toes, don't really mean to, but for me $300 is a boatload of money, and if I can save money on the 'small stuff' (which a shelf is), I will, that way when it comes time for a solar panel and the necessary electronic control hardware, I can put the savings toward that hefty bill. Cheers from the Oil Patch in Central WY

@@thebatlwgn Yeah, Time vs Money. Back in the day, we had a lot more of the former and a lot less of the latter......hence us running Fords, Chevys, Dodges, rather than Benz.....though a Unimog is still on my Bucket List.
