This is so beautiful so far I have completed 1 square. I haven't crocheted in 7 years but it's like riding a bike. I have only ever made scarves and hats previously so this is the most "advanced" thing I have made. I dont know if I will succeed with the poncho, but at the very least I can make the squares and make a blanket! I am going to try the poncho though because it is too cute. I picked the same ombre yarn in the color "Anemone." It's really pretty!

I've been crocheting for decades.... I'm still not that great at it, mostly because patterns are usually too confusing, and I end up just making stuff up. This was THE MOST FUN project i have ever done. It was so easy watching you! I contacted you on Etsy and you posted the pattern for me to purchase, thank you! (I did find a couple of discrepancies between the video and the pattern I purchased, I think the Etsy pattern is for a smaller size? ) I loved this pattern so much, I made 4 ponchos for my granddaughters.... THANK YOU! I know this video is older, but I looked high and low before settling on this one. It's awesome. I can't wait to look through your other videos.

I want to make my Grandaughter one in a 6x ? What should I do to make It that size just add a couple rows to the square ?
@TheCraftNut4 жыл бұрын
I actually have a preteen poncho pattern on my channel that is for 9-11 y/o and I would recommend using that square and then doing a few rounds less than the full square on that video. You will want the square to be the shoulder width that you need from corner to corner across the middle of the square. Both ponchos are basically the same only different sizes 😊☮️💙🎶
@kariowens43804 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much that will be perfect 💞

Your work is beautiful. How could I make this for a child size 6?
@TheCraftNut3 жыл бұрын
So what matters is the width of the square where measured diagonally across the square from corner to corner so as long as the width measured like that is about the width of the child’s shoulders then the square will work. I can’t remember the width of this granny square but if it’s not big enough you can add extra rounds of single or double crochets around the outside to add extra length if it’s not big enough. I also do have a larger sized granny square poncho on my channel but it’s for sizes like 8-11 for kids and may be too big but worth looking at as well ☺️☮️💙🎶

Good afternoon do u have a video to do one for a 6-7 year old? Cuz my granddaughter is 4 but I did the one for 4t -5t but it was a little small thanks
@TheCraftNut4 жыл бұрын
Dang I’m sorry to hear that! I don’t have one for that size right now but I do have one for a preteen That has a few repeating rounds at the end of the squares that would allow you to be able to just stop a few rounds early and make a poncho out of those squares. You will just want to make sure that the squares are her shoulder width or a little bigger than her shoulder width (for room to grow) when measuring corner to corner going across the middle of the square. Hopefully that made sense and works out for you! I will work on getting a poncho up for that size ASAP! 😊☮️💙🎶

@@lilyzamora2999 so i just went and looked and i indeed do not have a written pattern for this pattern. i am pretty sure (its been a long time, id have to go back and actually read or watch the pattern myself to remember) that its because the 4t - 5t poncho is only a round or two bigger than the baby poncho. If you would like me to get a pattern specifically for this i could definitely do that

you will want to lay them out how they are pieced together or how they would look when it’s all together and sew the connecting sides together making sure you are folding them together with the outside facing each other so your sewn is on the inside ☮️💙🎶 hopefully that made sense

What is the guage or measurements of the finished product? I am just wondering if I could make a DK weight work.
@TheCraftNut3 жыл бұрын
I’m not quite sure at this exact moment without pulling it out but a general measurement for children 4-5 is 13”-14” so as long as the width of the finished granny square in the width or the width of the child you are making it for then it should fit then after assembled ☺️☮️💙🎶
