Tip: Instead of needing to draw two lines, you can use the parallel channel drawing tool, it's a bit faster. I normally use it and have removed the default fill/background color so it's just upper, lower and the middle (broken) line.

What I like to do. When scalping price action on 5 min is to ignore any and all engulfing large candles just ignore them there just eye candy. And while I have my 50 & 200 EMA's up it's just to remind me if I'm in the wrong location. But basically I'm looking for the start of a medium small to medium candle between 5 - 10 cents followed by another or a Medium before or after a fat looking Hammer or doji and I meare from wick to wick of the second pair matching candle and that is my take profit size and my stop loss size. So if the cable is 6 cents in size I take profit 6 cents higher and stop 6 cents lower than that candle.. and if the candle to hit my take profit is another candle around the same size I repeat the process.Key is to look for. Entry candles stay away from chasing large candles and get in and out in prospective to your candles size

Brother, this strategy is very good if used correctly. One thing that I will add is trend filtering (200 EMA and ADX (15 and above) can be used). Also, for a long set-up, use only green candles and vice-versa for a short set-up. God bless you immensely.

I took 15 trades (13 were won and 2 were lost with a fixed RR of 2:1 and my stop loss is always placed at the low/high of the 2nd candle and entry is at the 4th candle that breaks the level) in 2 weeks appx. I realized that with proper trend filtering to avoid trading during a choppy period, the probability of having a losing streak is very very low. This is by far the best strategy that I have seen in your entire video series and obviously, people won't pay attention to it because it is mechanical (you have to be by the chart but this is not stressful even if you have a full-time job)

I have been testing it on 5 and 1min as you said but instead of the 4th candle break, it will be the 6th candle that breaks o. You know the 4th candle of the 15 and 5min is the beginning of another 15min candle. So the 6th candle of the 5 and 1min is the beginning of another 5min candle. I hope you get it. I think that's the mechanism behind it

Trying to backtest this on SPY but it seems like when the 15 min candle is a doji that shows rejection opposite the direction of the 5m breakout candle, the trade has a higher probability. I'm guessing this is because the larger 15m candles may mean the run is already somewhat over, and the ones rejecting the trade direction are obviously showing signs of fighting your trade direction. Do you have any more in-depth or backtested rules that you use for this strategy or is it pretty much just what's in the video here??

Honestly i have been trying to understand the reason why you mark the top and bottom of the 15 minutes candle, is it that 15 minutes candle must open at the resistance level for short, while at the support level for long? My papertrading results with this strategy: Meta 22-14 (stock) AMZN 10-8 (stock) NVDA 17-17 (stock) VRAUSDT 34-26 (crypto) In total: 83 winners and 65 losers using a RR of 1:1.5 (trading from support and restistance levels based on the 1h timeframe) Profit could be higher: 1. Targeting daily high or low as target ( = take profit) 2. Adding extra confirmation like for example: stochastic RSI or zero leg MACD 3. Taking into account heavy news (I have totaly ignorded this) So yes! I think this method of entering a trade is profitable :) And with some fine tuning and backtesting result can be a lot better. I don't know how it can be defined. It's more based on experience and the relative measure of volatility in that time. And in scalping strategies we don't set SL very far from entry point. And this is a kind of in and out strategy. Maybe you can calculate average distance, but also consider the relative volatility on the chart.
