What a lovely list, Wendi! I love roses so much! I have never tried any of the Malles, not because they don’t interest me, but because they are out of my reach financially. Your description of Une Rose is interesting because it is often described as a slightly dark rose, including on the Malle website. I have Serge Lutens Sa Majeste La Rose and Hermes Rose Amazone (sadly discontinued).

Thanks DD! I've always wanted to try Rose Amazone, I wish it was still more widely available. And the Une Rose while gorgeous isn't very dark or mysterious in my experience.

Hi Wendi, I would have to replace Drole de Rose as well. It is one of my favorite sleep scents! I’m not a lover of rose soliflores but I do love rose perfumes. Among my favorites are Lyric, Gris Montaigne, PHI Une Rose De Kandahar, Lipstick Rose, Black Jade, Rose di Siwa, and ta’if. I have more but these are at the top for me. Thank you for another interesting video!

I love rose too - my favourite for winter is Harem Rose by Forte and Manle. My favourite for summer is Rose of No Man’s Land by Byredo. You have an amazing collection of rose 🌹 perfumes!

@@wendisparadeofperfumes5034 it is gorgeous- very rich and rosey with a strong ‘musk lolly’ component. I always get asked what I’m wearing. I bought mine years ago- out of my price range now but I’d love to get amber absolutely

This is a diverse, gorgeous Rose list. Oh boy! I wouldn’t know where to begin. Love Dior Rose N’ Roses. It’s got a bit of a vintage vibe. If I didn’t have so many perfumes, I’d wear that one regularly.

I'm a rose-frag fanatic, too. Nahéma is my ride or die, but I recently discovered another I like a lot, Marem by Caswell-Massey. It's expensive, but I found a travel spray.

Also, as a general rule, in French that final ess would be silent, assuming you pronounce it the French way (ar-PEHL, rather than ar-PELs).

The 1000 roses line from Andalou smells fucking amazing. My dream is to find a rose perfume that smells like it. Why is that so difficult to find?! Ugh. I will have to try out the guerlain that smells like coco mademoiselle. The dna is growing on me. And it does vaguely smell like Paris-deauville which is a plus.

Hi Wendi. I love the note of rose. I enjoyed your offerings today. My rose perfumes are few Elizabeth and James Rose, Mancera Roses Vanille (5 ml) and very simple Bath and Body Works Rosewater Meringue, its simple but I enjoy alot. It last quite awhile on the skin as well. I bake and rose water is one of favorite flavours to work with. I will be adding to my collection.

The pronunciation of Arpels is closer to the second, but the s is silent as it’s French. 😊
