I normally make snow cone syrup using a recipe my mother-in-law gave me years ago, but I found a new tweak to the recipe that I wanted to try. Instead of mixing 1/2 the amount of water to the amount of granulated white sugar, I try part for part. If I used 1 1/2 c. granulated white sugar, then I added the same amount of water. The recipe says to cook it for 3 minutes, but I found that 5 minutes worked best. I feel that is was way easier to use the powdered drink mix packages instead of adding extract and food coloring. You can buy any flavor or brand that you like. In this video I used Starburst, Crush and Skillets brand.
