These juicy chops are tender, juicy and incredibly easy to make.
For the chops:
2lbs goat or lamb chops
1 cup yogurt
1 packet Chaat masala (I used Shan brand)
2 tbsp garlic ginger paste
Marinate the chops/champ for at least 1 day. To marinate, mix the yogurt, chaat masala and garlic ginger paste together, and coat the meat with it.
When you're ready to cook the meat, set the oven to 400F and bake in the middle of the oven for about 20 minutes until the meat is cooked through.
For the onion relish:
1 large yellow onion
1 lime
1/2 tsp salt
1 roma tomato
1/2 cup cilantro
1/2 cup parsley
1 tbsp red onion
Julienne the onion, rinse in cold water for 5 minutes, squeeze out the water and add to a bowl. Next, chop the tomato, cilantro, parsley, red onion and add to the onion. Squeeze the juice of one lime onto the relish, add the salt and mix.
For the salad:
1 cup romaine lettuce
1 roma tomato
2 tbsp yellow onion
2 Persian pickles
1/3 cup carrot
1 lime
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp olive oil
Chop the lettuce, tomato, onion, and Persian pickles, and add to a bowl. Grate the carrot and juice the lime and add both to the salad. Dress with the salt, and olive oil.
To serve, plate the meat and top with some of the onion relish. Serve with naan or over rice.
