I somehow missed this one, but it popped up today. I’m glad it is very pretty. I used to have my 4th and 5th grade students make simple pop up books of their own. They were usually 2 or 3 pages, but so cute. I need to put one in a not-so-bulky journal.

It’s a easy fix!! All you need to do is add a blank page to the middle of the signature and once everything has been sewed in you can then glue the beautiful full page of pop up butterflies in. Easy save!! I am working on a small journal now and I was thinking of doing a pop up and that is the only way I could figure doing it 😀

A good pneumonia device I use to remember what side of the paper to crease is, mountains become valleys and valleys become mountains. I have no idea who or where I heard that from but I always recite that in my head (and I might say it out loud too lol) before scoring my paper.

Beautiful results. If you wanted to take it a step further you could attach a few butterflies to thin (1/4”) strips of heavy clear plastic like laminating film scraps and glue them behind the back row or between layers. When you open the card the butterflies appear to flutter in air.

Magnificent. If I had been doing this I would have placed my blue butterflies and then taken a photo with my phone. Then when I started to glue them I could take the to[ layers off knowing I could look at the photo to make sure as I placed them back down they would be where I wanted.

Hi there, I found myself thi king as you tried to describe the angle of the slits you had to cut and likened t to the hands of a clovk. Using the centre fold as twelve o clock ans the angles from that as 2.50. Made it simpler for me to understand. Loved the finished result. :0)

Dear Barbara, I'm new to junk journalling but absolutely love your videos and positivity! I was watching the Hobbit 2 yesterday and the scene where Bilbo climbed the trees reminded me of your video. I'm inspired to make something like that but wonder how I sew it in my journal... Cut the slits, sew the pages and then glue the pieces with the butterflies in?
