Easy and quick bleed of KTM clutch and cylinder

Cheers,I made this process and I use magura mineral oil and now there is no pressure anymore I will try with dot 4 and repeat the process but the liquid is not sucked anymore what do I suppose to do?

There's air in the system. It won't be the oil that's the problem just air. Bleed it again. You can do it 👍

Dont use brake fluid on magura.

Thanks for the vid very helpful. I think i bled my brakes for about an hour in total just to make sure i got every bubble. Alas still drags terribly in gear clutch fully in. Onto the next thing i guess... Friction plates and springs.

Hi if you pump the the clutch does the drag reduce ? It could be the wrong oil in the box. If it’s too thick you’ll get drag. Once the bike is hot does the drag reduce? You can do it 👍

@@YoucandoitwithJules after bleeding it and pumping it it's about the same as before attempting the bleed. It drags a little less when hot however comparing neutral and clutch in there nothing alike. I have changed to motul transmission oil in last,5 hours of riding with only very minimal improvements. Cold the bike is close to impossible to push. With the clutch let out the wheel is locked solid. Thanks for the reply, I can only assume I need a new clutch. This is my first KTM.

Maybe time to remove the clutch plates an check to see what’s going. Is the bike new to you ? Do you know the history. You can do it ?

I am sure you should use hydraulic fluid and not break fluid.

No you cant. Hydraulic fluid will trash your rubber seals. Big no no. You can do it.

@@YoucandoitwithJules it says sae 10 hydraulic fluid in the manual and it even says to never fill it with break fluid!

@@anracingrsr1 It says "use only Dot 4 brake fluid" on the master cylinder cover lol, don't know where you are getting that from but it's not true
