Wa alaikum as Salamu wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. Moon doesn't has light of it's own.. sun is the lamp, it's the fire and light so it's feminine... Moon is rather associated with darkness (night).. it's masculine

Of course all words used for women is feminine.... Rest all what you said is not true.. Pen = Qalam is masculine... The jama' mukassar (complex plural) of pen = qalam is Aqlaam which too is masculine... And Huroof of Arabic means Alif Baa Taa Thaa are feminine, yes that's true
