Started last night. I’m so happy to have this pattern. I was gifted a blanket just like this for my firstborn and have been wanting to make it my go to for baby gifts too. Such a beautiful classic. Mine is 31 years old, has survived quite well from all the washing between 3 kids. If anyone is looking for an heirloom quality blanket that will be actually used, look no further.

Crystal how do you do it, managing your household, homeschooling your kids, deciding what to crochet and what yarn to use, crocheting it, the tutorials, trips to Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Joann's and the occasional Goodwill trips with Mr BOD. Not to mention the yarn reviews and the giveaways. Whew I'm exhausted just listing them all. Girl you must only sleep 3 hrs a night! You are by far the best crochet teacher on youtube, in my opinion. I made a blanket using this stitch a few months back. Of course, I was only two months into crocheting and my stitch was tight. The shells came out puffy that it almost looked like a bobble. All in all the small blankie turned out nice. Now that I see your tutorial, I'm going to attempt this again and hopefully my blankie will look as beautiful as yours. Thanks again.

I like this pattern without a border as the edge shells looks nice. I also like the colors, while there are some bluesy shades, the browns and turquoises add more variety for a "boy" blanket. Thank you for the pattern and tutorial!

Thank You Crystal for this Beautiful Baby Blanket Video Tutorial 😍💗🧶 I absolutely Love, Love, Love this Baby Blanket Tutorial, I am currently making it with Puzzle Yarn and a size N 9mm crochet hook. It is working up so beautifully. I chose a # 5 weight yarn as my soon to be grandson is being born in Maine where the winters are extremely cold. I followed your starting chain count of 116 which makes the blanket slightly wider then 42 inches wide, I’m going to make it 52 inches long so it will fit a standard size crib. Thank you again Crystal, this will definitely be my go to Baby Blanket for ALL Baby Blanket gifts going forward 💗

This is a beautiful stitch and one of the most beautiful things about it is that I followed the tutorial and I'm on about row 15 or so and it looks great. I just started making a throw sized blanket with this stitch. I am using the Lion Brand Mandala bonus bundle in Yeti. It's a 3 weight so this will be light but also take forever to finish lol....but I really it so far. I like a continuous crochet and this keeps my ends in a nice straight line.
