Ingredients:
To fry the fish:
-Basa/swai fish filet, cut into bite sized pieces - 1 lb
-Salt - 1/3 tsp
-Turmeric powder - 1/3 tsp
-Oil - 1/2 cup
For the curry:
-Oil - 1/2 cup (reuse after frying fish)
-Onion, chopped - 2/3 cup, or can combine with onion paste
-Garlic paste - 1 tbsp
-Ginger paste - 1 tbsp
-Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
-Chili powder - 3/4 tsp, or adjust to desired spice level
-Salt - 3/4 tsp
-Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
-Fenugreek seeds (methi) - 1/2 tsp
-Water - add as needed
-Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
-Green chilies - as desired
-Cilantro - garnish
