Hello peanut gallery! I figured out a way to do something that looks like bargello quilting but with an easy technique that is good for smaller quilt blocks. I think you are going to like this! And I have a better idea for bigger bargello projects. I hope to make a mini quilt using my new idea soon! ----- Visit me on Patreon where I'm UNcensored!!! www.patreon.com/darlenemichaud ----- Join my Peanut Gallery facebook group! facebook.com/groups/514101078926416/

Omg that blows my mine. I made a queen quilt pattern of a heart with the tube what a frickin headache that was. I love the way u did this. Thank you🌺

But now I realized that for big projects, it's cool if we can keep the length of the strips the same. That's where the tube method comes in handy. But I think I came up with another way to still not have to make the tube. I just don't think I'd like to keep track of every stinking seam that I have to rip. The tube just seemed daunting to me!

Hi Darlene - I've tried a few Bargello tops and they are mind boggling and I don't like making them but love how they turn out. Could this be done with a jelly roll and keep making the blocks with all the color variations - maybe 5 or 6 strips at a time and keep going making blocks with like colors? Marilyn

You have more sewing dynamics when it comes to processes, than I've ever seen. It's wonderful not having perfection shoved down your throat, and you still come up with fun, beautiful quilts. Thank you for that!!

Not exactly sure what you mean, but I still say YES! lol It would certainly be worth a shot. I was up half the night thinking up easy ways to do an entire quilt and still have it look like bargello. And I think I figure out an easier way to still do the tube but not rip the seams. And I will be experimenting with bargello blocks too and might put them together as a rag quilt!
