Hello peanut gallery! I came up with a very easy way to make bargello quilt blocks using the tube method but with no seam ripping! This is great for those of you who like random blocks that don't take much planning and very little effort. Here is the first bargello block that I made: tinyurl.com/ybrhb3fj You could turn that into a tube just like in this tutorial. I hope you enjoyed and thanks for watching! ----- Visit me on Patreon where I'm UNcensored!!! www.patreon.com/darlenemichaud ----- Join my Peanut Gallery facebook group! facebook.com/groups/514101078926416/

A thank you to you!, I'm close to 70 years old and have been sewing since my 20's.... But a newer quilter. All my life I was made to feel like I had no creativity and I couldn't try new things... Goes back to an art teacher in high school... Blah!! Anyway... You give me the courage to step out and just do it and yes... I hope that the perfect quilt lady can relax and watch your video!! You make it fun and an adventure.

Loved your bargello tutorial! As a beginner/intermediate quilter you take the fear out of trying new things. I'm fickle so I like to follow my mood in quilting. It has been great therapy for me.so seeing your process is perfect for me. You make me laugh so much. Thank you for your adventures in quilting you allow us to join you in.

This is one quilt I still need to do, I love the affect of it and you make it look so easy! I love how quilters are so innovative and find the quick methods for everything. I started with crafts and clothes but quilting has taught me so much with my sewing skills. Thank you so much Darlene. I love your humour and personality!!

I LOVE watching your videos! You are always a breath of fresh air. You say what you want and you’re so carefree with your sewing and I love that. I am always my worst critic and I inspect everything I sew. Usually I am a bit disappointed in the final result when I should be celebrating the fact that I was able to actually MAKE something in spite of my physical limitations. You make my mistakes OK! I really appreciate that in your videos. Please keep them coming! ❤️

I love your videos. You are real! And you make me laugh. You truly make sewing fun! I’m precise when it matters, but just having fun and getting things done and learning new things without worrying about perfection is awesome. You inspire me! Keep making these videos, please!

I just love your videos and your whole attitude toward quilting! I started quilting 20 years ago and just couldn't handle the fact everything had to be SO perfect and quilt show worthy...so I quit. 2 yrs ago I found Missouri Star and loved her easy, non perfect quilting style! I found Angela Waters and now YOU! Thank God I can quilt again!!! OH...and you need to call your method Dargello!!

You are a genius Darlene-I love your way of quilting-the hell with that snobby remark the it commented about sloppy quilters-a quilt is any way you want it colors match or not it’s your piece of art-and guess what your type of quilting might not be everyone’s way but who says your way is wrong. Some people think there shit don’t stink and she must be one of those. I love your honesty and don’t worry about her comment i hope she reads this and learns to shut up I’ve just Joined you and to say the least I might not agree with everything but I’ve learned a lot from you so far and will show my quilting class what you do.

Hi Darlene - I just love your three Bargello blocks. I think I like the second one the best and hope to see a mini quilt with this design. I've made 4 Bargellos and they were all so concise and hard that you couldn't leave them for the next day half done because you would never remember all the terrible steps, seam ripping and so on. I'm going to try one soon and hope to have a lap quilt done with this awesome method. You are wonderful. Thanks so much!!! Marilyn

Could it be that you like the blocks where there is a real contrast between each fabric? Maybe try one that is obviously light-dark-light-dark? That would make the bargello 'flow' more obvious.

The fabrics would have shown up if I had staggered up and down and up and down. Keeps the colors in blocks. But I just kept going down on this one so the colors were more separated.
