Hey Nicole! Just me again! LOL Going through to see what I have missed! ; ) Question.... on the purple ones, is that a straight purple dye? You were about to tell us when you were putting it in then ya just said the amount. Lol Is that the amethyst EC? I have different dyes and are having a problem getting a true purple on the bomb color. In the "water" it is pretty but the "outside" of the bomb looks like an ugly grayish color. (using Red 40 with Blue 1) We then figured it was the Red 40 not letting it be a pretty purple, we need to be using the Red 33 with the Blue 1 to get a true purple color on the "outside" of the bomb. Have you got a ratio with the Red 33 and blue 1 to get a pretty purple? I was trying to do a lil research before purchasing some Red 33. I want to try and mix my own to get a pretty purple. Thanks!! Your doing awesome, keep the video's coming!! Have a great day...Hugs from Texas!! xx : )
@thekissingduckssoapcompany11006 жыл бұрын
Kelly W. Hi Kelly it is amethyst but you can make a lovely purple with red 28 and blue 1 x

@gypsyjane63526 жыл бұрын
Hi thank you for this! I have 2 questions... why did you use 1:1 ratio for this embed? When I watch other videos they use 2:1 ratio (with regular bb’s not particularly embeds) is that for a specific type of reaction? I’d love to know. Thank you! Also, what colorant did you use? A lake or mica... and where would you suggest we get some from? ✨
@thekissingduckssoapcompany11006 жыл бұрын
Hi you need a 1:1 ratio with embeds so they fizz faster and push the colour out of the bath bomb the colours are water soluble dyes. Thank you for watching x x
@dinapoole90185 жыл бұрын
Awesome
@yshoodi19564 жыл бұрын
Since you use gloves not to transfer the colour onto your hands, how does this not do the same while bathing?
@thekissingduckssoapcompany11004 жыл бұрын
The dye is very concentrated at this point so rubbing it between your hands would stain you for a short time but once it's in a bath bomb and placed in a tub full of water no staining will occur x

Ok, Im completely new to making bath bombs. Is it witch hazel tea infusion with loose herbs, a witch hazel extract, or possibly the drugstore astringent? And can u use essential oils to make them smell nice? I've heard so many conflicting opinions on essential oils vs artificial fragrance.
@thekissingduckssoapcompany11004 жыл бұрын
Hi to be perfectly honest you are better just using water. Essential oils are lovely but you are limited and not everyone likes the smell also you must do your research on what percentages to use and the same goes for synthetic fragrance oils x

you may not see this since I am over a year late. But Thank you so much for your video on this! you're the only one I have seen so far discuss embeds. My question would be: Are these what one would use if they are doing surprise color bath bombs? Like for Gender Reveal or for Harry Potter House Bath Bomb? if that makes sense. Thank you again for your video!
@thekissingduckssoapcompany11005 жыл бұрын
Hi sorry for the delayed response. The answer to your question is yes if you wanted a gender reveal bomb then you would do it white and fill it with blue or pink embeds x x

Hiya, great video and thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. Can I ask why you don't need poly 80 to stop the colours making a coloured rim in the tub? Thank you, Jackie
@thekissingduckssoapcompany11005 жыл бұрын
Hi Jackie the colours I use are water soluble unlike mica that is oil soluble. It's the oil that clings to the side of the bath which causes the rings. I still use poly 80 cos I add oil to my mix but it's to stop oil sitting on top and stops the tub being slippery. Hope that helps x x
