@@Sofus212 Yeah man, just take your time and enjoy it bro. I’m still learning myself! It’s definitely a fun hobby just don’t get upset when it doesn’t go your way. I literally just messed up on building a birdhouse and had to tear it all apart. Just gonna start all over until I get it and if you stay around you’ll see the final build be posted soon on my KZbin! Feel free to reach out to me at my business email in my KZbin bio for any woodworking questions!

Not that you need to do this in this case, but using a router with a rounded/bullet head can put a nice groove along the edges for liquids/blood/etc, and maybe some routed edges for handles as well. But they look good. That oil definitely spruces them up.

Thank you so much for your input and support! I wanted to do exactly what you’re talking about with a router but I need a new router. The router I have now is my dad’s and it is not suitable to use lol. I’m 21 years old and just now getting into woodworking so I’m trying to upgrade my equipment but obviously it is EXPENSIVE!😂 I hope you stay around for more builds and future endeavors!🎉

@@kevinswoodworking Oh.. I know. I am only able to afford what I can these days cause I'm older. lol. Just dropped a bit on some Festool's that I wish I had at your age! Wood is the most expensive thing these days. Only place that carries Baltic Birch is an hour away and its $100 a sheet.. and I don't have a truck. Big box stores want $200 for the same thing if they have it. It is insane how plywood has gone up 4x in that past 5 years. Makes it almost impossible to do anything other than with 2x4s.. the only thing that is still affordable. Pissing me off.

I know right! It’s crazy my dad tells me the same thing about how the prices are through the roof now compared to back in the day! Hopefully stuff will maybe change back….

Dude, you really should get a vacuum hooked up to that planer AND wear some sort of dust mask. I like your enthusiasm and skill and wish you a long career as a woodworker but you won't get there inhaling all that fine wood dust.
@kevinswoodworkingКүн бұрын
Yeah, I really do need to do that. I am 21 and just now really getting into woodworking! So I am learning as I go and upgrading equipment as well. No wonder why I blow out an inch of saw dust from my nose😂😂! Thank you for your input and support. I hope you stay around to see future builds!
