Thank you so much for this beautiful pattern... Your instructions are very clear and easy to understand and you have such a pleasant way of delivering the instructions. I also really appreciate how you show using the throw method. I guess it's called for holding the yarn so many times when people are doing the Continental way it gets confusing to look at so it's much more clear when you handle it this way. Also, thank you for all the effort you put into these

I just completed my rib and lace scarf cowl. I used 100% wool bulky yarn (5) with size 10 needles-it turned out so beautiful! I showed a neighbor the finished piece and she fell in love with it! It was, like you said, Marly, Super Simple! While knitting it, I used life lines so if did make a mistake, I could easily recover. Thank you for all the great patterns and videos!

Love your videos. They're so easy to follow. I'm making this now to have a break from crochet. After a while my hands get very sore. I've been knitting for over 50 years but only learnt to crochet a few years ago from KZbin tutorials.

I knit continental style and I think it's easier and requires less movements to knit so it's faster, too. And when you demonstarate knitting both styles that becomes more evidente. Thanks for this beautiful pattern.

I loved the BiCrafty Games and when I heard about the sock classes I could not wait. I was so excited I bought the class as soon as Marly said it was there. I missed clicking on the stitch pattern book so I went back and bought that too. I have made crocheted socks before but they were really slipper-like socks (too bulky for regular socks). I'm looking forward to learning how to make regular socks because I've wanted to do this for decades (yes, decades). And the big plus is learning from anatomy of the sock and fiber through the stitches. The biggest bonus of all is the visual stitch patterns. So excited.

Started working it once I got home from the crafting for charity group at church. So easy to get the repeated pattern going once I switched to my bamboo needles. I was in such a rush, I couldn’t find my #10 metal needles so started on my (very, very old) Susan Bates, Quick Silver needles and ugh! This yarn wasn’t sliding too well on these needles. Switched to my waxy Clover bamboos and worked so much better! The yarn feels a little fuzzy and felty in my hands. Otherwise, easy to work with. Nice pattern Marly, thanks!

Hi Marly how do you increase the width? You did 3x 8 clusters plus 3 extra stitches when casting on which gives overall 27 stitches but if for example I want to do 4x 8stitch clusters how many extra plus stitches would I add? And how many extra buttons would that be please? I'm currently recovering from frozen shoulder so try to learn how to knit 🙊 I am very crafty my favourite at the moment is my 15th century bobbinlace making but finding that a tad hard with my bad arm. So found you and this pattern and I'm going to have a go in memory of my late father who was a pro knitter till the good age of 95. Here goes nothing 🤷♀️ thanks for your help. Oh can you confirm grams wise how much wool it will use please as I am in the UK 🇬🇧

Hi Marly! I have a question for you. I'm working on this pattern but I'm having a problem. My ribbing does not finish similarly on each side. The side that starts with a purl stitch keeps coming out loser. I always snug the beginning stitch to keep it looking nice, but in this case it's not performing for me like that usually does. I even tried twisting the stitch to see if that would create an equal appearance. Still no luck. What technique do you have up your sleeve? :) Thanks for your videos! They are great :)
