For this type of KZbin video (guitar, lessons, tabs, instruction) you are far and away the best. I find your video style to be far superior to those I have seen in terms of effectiveness and ability to quickly learn the songs you are teaching. I am sure different people respond to different methods of teaching. Your method works best for me and the songs you choose are almost always songs I want to play or, at the very least, techniques that help my playing, in general. Thank you Nikola!

Hey man, your lessons are always very helpful but at 3:32 are you sure about the note 9 and 12 together? It sounds more right 10 and 12 together on the original track... anyway great lesson.

@@gui8045 I know how a tab works, but I'd love to know the chords so I could remember them, it's just a suggestion he can do what he wants that's nice of him to share thoses tabs but it would be better if the chords where upside the tab I think^^

Hey my man, not sure if you're still reading comments, but at 1:55 when it says 14h16 - 16 it sounds a lot like 14p13 - 16, is this a mistake? I'm a very new guitarist and just hoping if you can educate!
@nikolagugoski5 жыл бұрын
Hey. I checked the part and I'm not sure honestly. I don't hear pull of form some reason. It's not a big mistake if you play it either way

It's wrong to call this an easy beginners song, unless your intention is to make all of us beginners feel inadequate. Your lesson is lovely and clear, and well produced, but this beautiful song is for intermediate guitar players and should not be labelled otherwise.
@nikolagugoski6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment and sorry if I make you feel inadequate. I labelled it as a beginner song because there are only simple chords like E major, B major, D minor etc. I might be wrong, but any beginner who wants to learn a song, should be able to play these chords. My point is that, when you learn your first chords, it is possible to be able to play this song (depending on how much you practice)
@irenahalder6 жыл бұрын
Nikola Gugoski Beginners learn open chords first, not barre chords; barre chords require strength and dexterity in the fingers and hand, which take time to develop. Slides and vibrato are also techniques that come later. Can you remember how you struggled as a beginner? I doubt that you can, otherwise you wouldn’t make misleading statements.
@blainebauman5726 жыл бұрын
Irena Halder lighten up, he clearly explained that he had no poor intentions in labeling it as a beginner song, you could’ve left it as that. I was able to play this song after a couple months of teaching myself guitar and I’m nothing special either.
@irenahalder6 жыл бұрын
Blaine Bauman I could lighten up, but I do have good reasons for saying what I said. For me, playing guitar is very difficult and I’m hacked off with people saying how easy it is. Teachers need to encourage - it’s their job. There’s so much material to cover when you’re learning - it takes years to become a good musician.
@vatacale6 жыл бұрын
Irena Halder it isn't Nikola's fault that you can't play a song even if it's labelled as a beginner level one. If you are a beginner you shouldn't expect to find any beginner level songs from John Frusciante 😊 I mean you are a beginner and yet you're trying to play the songs made by one of the most talented guitar players on this planet. It's only logical that you should expect all his songs to be difficult to play. And by the way: the chords used in this song can also be played as open ones and not only as barred. It's your own playing style that chooses the way you play these chords and not the melody that obliges you to use barred or open chords. So please stop arguing with Nikola and put that energy into guitar. It's his channel, his free time and his passion that delivers these lessons and you should be thankful to him instead of moaning about you not being able to play guitar.
