Stan, I always appreciate your kitchen-time videos because I know I'm going to learn something new. You're the first person I've heard say to take the rings off the jars so that you know if the seal remained while the jar is on the shelf. It makes perfect sense! Also glad to hear about For Jars because, like you said, during Covid canning supplies were very limited and I have a feeling more and more people are going to start preserving so they can be more self sufficient. I was waiting to hear you say that you were also making homemade biscuits to go along with the jam but an English muffin is always good too. Hope you had a good holiday weekend, my friend. As always, stay safe.

Thanks buddy. I used to sort of make homemade biscuits using a biscuit mix from our local mill. Since they’ve closed I haven’t tried. Baking overall is something I need to learn more on. I can cook a lot of stuff but baking is definitely an area I lack in knowledge.

We just picked Blueberries this morning from a local orchard. I will go back soon to get more for jam. Thank you for the recipe and video.

Absolutely. Fresh berry picking is so great. I can’t wait until our local farm opens up for picking

looks good, we made strawberry jam today but we don't skim the foam, just personal preference

Strawberry jam is delicious. Nothing wrong with leaving the foam. Certainly eliminates a step. Thanks for sharing

Any idea how many cups of regular (not crushed) blueberries makes 4.5 cups of crushed? If not it’s totally okay and can figure it out…just thought it wouldn’t hurt to ask 😊 Thank you 😊

I’m sorry I think the way I typed the recipe may have confused you. The 4.5 cups is actually the whole blueberries. You then just need to crush them. I used 9 cups in this video since I doubled it and then crushed them. Hopefully that provides some clarification
