I've always been using this. But slightly differently. With two hooks on either side and the twisted side was attached to the main line ( with swivel ) :))

The point is to make the leader stiffer, so it sticks out further away from the main line without sagging and tangling the hook into it. I do mine a li’l different. After twisting the line, i tie a double overhand knot at the end were the “T” is going to be at. Then tie the dropper loop knot to make the “T”. It makes a little more stiffer. And it looks prettier too.
