NO MORE TANGLED RIGS WITH THIS KNOT! T-Knot Tutorial

This fishing knot is very useful to help your line stay untangled in a high-low rig. Trust me when I say that this is a fishing knot you are going to want to know for the next season of fishing! The T-knot is used for attaching hook snood to the main snood of a rig. The knot is strong and looks pretty, it also creates a short stiff branch which is useful for preventing the hook snood from entangling with the main snood.

This makes me miss my dad greatly. He was a great angler and wanted to pass down his knowledge to me, but unfortunately I just wasnt interested as a kid and into my teens. Now that he's gone I regret every time I didnt go fishing with him. Now in my late 20's im finally into fishing and theres not a day that goes by that I wish I was fishing with my old man. Thank you for having your dad on the channel. Invite him more if you can. Nothing like an OG passing down knowledge to his son and sharing that with us. Truely, thank you.

Powerfully story! I'm 50 n my dad passed last summer! To this day I remember fishing adventures from when I was a lil kid! And I also rem so many lessons just like this, how to tie diff rigs, taking care of equipment, how to clean the fish we were gonna keep, proper handling of fish, etc etc! Sorry to hear of ur loss, but like Skipper said ur father is there with u now n so proud that u've picked up fishing! That part of him that liked fishing is in you n that part of him is u! So he will be with u 4ever! N that's what is amazing bout fishing, u r always learning n always a chance to make memories mentoring some1, doesn't have to be Father son , it can be ur friend , it can be some kids u see out fishing with 5/0 hook n a rubber worm 10" under a giant white n red bobber lol Teaching n passing on my knowledge has been some of my most memorable n rewarding experiences n if u do that in ur father's honor it's even better!

I have used this method so many times since I’ve watched this video. One time I was on a canoe flaring in Angle Lake here in Washington state I hooked TWO bass at the same time but I wasn’t able to bring them in. They both fought themselves oF my hooks soon as they came to the surface . Since then I’ve used thiS thank you!!

Major improvement on the dropper. The double twist on the hook is a really elegant trick too! I tried twisting the loop/branch before tying the first knot, so you end up with a twisted dropper. Adds even more rigidity to the branch, closer to the hook. Works great!

What a great father...! He showed you, but he let you mess it up so you would know how to fix it yourself...! This is the exact way I teach my sons.

@@davidparker667 To be honest Ive been using this knot everyday I go fishing ever since I learned it. NEVER had a failure, last week I pulled out a 5kg catfish with 0.35 mm mono on this rig. Ive had also had a few times where the weight would snag and I a pull it off and still the T knot is strong and intact

@@davidparker667 Im going to try it on a scale and see. Im also using it on 160mm mono for giant grouper fishing, if what your saying is true then I might be better off with a three way swivel

Hey Skipper, great video on dropper loop rig. I've been tieing them for years. If you want a bucktail on that rig, add a bucktail skirt, or any other skirt after the bead, then the hook.

Great tutorial! Thank you ssoooo much I'm guna use this for strong river current and heavy weight on very end. I learned bobber fishing in a river is very dumb lol constantly slowly hits the shore line. I'm new to fishing only been out 5 times but I'm learning!

I live just north of St. Aug. I love that area up along the "ditch". The vilano pier and some of the smaller lesser known piers are nice. (Vilano pier doesn't have water for the cleaning tables). The Dam up at the Guarano river is too crowded.
