Tremendous painting, and the timing could not be better. I want to attempt a painting very similar to this of a view from my in-laws rear deck into the bush. I had no real idea of what to do, you've just shown me! So, thank you very much.

I came here for the bushes, but seriously... this eye in the background is freaking me out. But the tutorial is still quite helpful, thank you! Oh, and about the brushes, I am coming from miniature painting and I often use cheap make-up brushes for things like dry brushing or for covering larger surfaces that need a bit of a structure. I guess they would do the job here just as well, especially when you are new to the hobby and might waste a couple of brushes anyway.

Are bushes easier to paint with round brushes? You make this look so simple. I wonder if you can use this technique to paint clouds. Edit I'm trying to paint over a watercolor painting with acrylic paint. I had trouble because the bushes were all shades of green. Wish I had watched this video last week.
@pjbk38382 ай бұрын
Great. Sometimes with video, it is hard to tell colors or values, especially for beginners. If you could mention them which black was it mixed with something, also more on colors of greens or yellows and maybe value. I am just learning so need the extra... Thank you so much for your time and for doing this!

I am having trouble painting mid distance evergreen trees (perhaps equivalent to about 200 to 300 feet away in the distance), with a height of about 2 to 3 inches tall...I would like to keep a fair amount of detail...If you could recommend a good brush and any advice I would deeply appreciate it. Thx! Philip
