Back in the 70s, we used to reference to “wispy” layers as “feathering”. We’d say, “I want my hair feathered.” I always thought I looked best with a bit of “feathering”, and I’m so glad it’s back in style!

Such a tried and true classic haircut! You demonstrated it perfectly! So many hairdressers were not taught this in todays beauty schools, and it is truly a lost art. Today we are mostly left with un-even,very heavy areas left around the face and very unhappy customers that are constantly looking for a new hairdresser Thank you! You can do it but it would be best to customize it more so had some length to the face and reduce width in the cheekbones.

I noticed after you made the first cut in front (the twist then twist again bang) that your first over direct cut immediately following that …. Then you cut into the guide. Was the first cut straight down (twist twist) just to basically get the bulk out rather than obtaining a guide? Tia 😊 Love your channels!!

Also I know about twisting the hair in the front and what that does…. But what is the purpose of twisting your fingers in other parts of the haircut?
