This is one of the best tutorials for cutting layer hair and the way she explains it, makes things so easy . Not to mention that Summer is so sweet and very calming and takes her time . Most stylist do not have the patience to explain and once they start cutting , you can not stop them. I’m going back to cosmetology school to finish at the age of 52…yep, 52. I was put on bed rest when I was pregnant with my son - I was half way thru school, and I never returned…I actually ended up having to get tendinitis and carpal tunnel surgeries on both wrists shortly after he was born - from severe fluid retention during my pregnancy. Thank you for this wonderful video. I cut my own hair. I’m 45, and have had about 6 haircuts done by someone else in the past 22 years. The truth is, that the precision you’ve done here simply cannot be done on one’s self. You really need a stylist to do this. (Maybe stylists like yourself are an exception). I like to think that I manage to get a similar end result, but honestly, it’s simply not the same. I really enjoyed this video, hopefully some of your techniques will find their way into my routine as well.

I watched you do the shorter layer face framing cut & it turned out soo beautiful!!! In beauty school we did not learn this type of cut. Our layers were a lot longer. I love the short layers & all of the movement!!!! I was the only one out of 3 classes who passed my state board the first time. I was soo happy.
