Using this base right now, with a mod. I added a pancake layer on top, then continued on with your second floor, then tower. Opens up more interior options for the bottom part. Base currently runs at 7954 stone and 2202 metal. Great base design! Thanks.

I built this last wipe and I have to say it's pretty effective. I had a 3 man try raiding me they wasted all their timed explosives blowing into the 2nd level. They tried hammering into the basement and couldn't get past the first garage door lol

Using this base right now with a squad of 4 on a biweekly server, and gotta say so far it is amazing, we put up highwalls and turrets on the outside to worry about the ones we can't see and if they make it through the highwalls we can get them with the tower peak build

this is hands down my new favorite base design, i never play large groups and this can support 3 or 4 people. I have run this base on probably 3 different servers so far and its exactly what it says it is, easy, cheap and secure. love all the storage and open space and how annoying it is to raid.

The rest of the wipe is going to be dedicated to evolving to the final form with MLRS SAM etc thank u reksmore sucha great vid had to watch maybe 100+ times this weekend to build each step. It's 8 rockets to get the 2nd story loot room, the bedroom, the ladder hatch, and part of your core, regardless of the build grade. If the ceiling above your core entrance is stone, they'll get everything upstairs as well. You may want to move that dropdown somewhere else. At 4:30, that's an outer wall you're using for furnaces because of your triangle roof entrance. That should be honeycombed in my opinion, not used for furnaces, or you should honeycomb first then build your entrance. Furnaces as a jump up would be more cost effective, more defendable, and more secure. Hatches are notoriously bad for online raid defense, and offline it hardly makes a difference. Base looks cool from the outside though, it can definitely be tweaked to be a tougher raid with some rearranging.

I agree to disagree. Furnaces in the core honeycomb are fine as long as there are frames in them. The upstairs can easily be metal or high quality with the size of the base to add more raid cost. The real raid protection is doors so if they don’t hit the perfect spot the g doors do there job. The upstairs is fine aswell because u would metal it anyway. Aswell as that is just for extra loot the might not find so u can rebuild. Overall u sound attentive but a lot of the stuff u mention is just wrong

​@@d0gog442 it's not wrong, you don't get to disagree with factual information about the raid cost. Furnaces in honeycomb aren't "fine" when 95% of people don't understand the triangle splash bug, and they build the frames off a half-wall inside the core so the frames get splashed from the outside. If the other piece of outer honeycomb is stone, the frame breaks at the same time as your armored window, making it completely useless. If you want to upgrade the honeycomb to sheet metal, by all means go ahead, but it's fucking pointless when there is a perfectly viable, and objectively better place for the furnaces. Two walls are stronger than a wall and a window, 100% of the time, frame or no frame, assuming they're the same build grade. My other solution to that problem was simply moving the entrance, so the honeycomb is actually honeycomb, and the conditional roof piece doesn't create a massive vulnerability. And sure, the upstairs could be metal or HQM, the entire base could be HQM with armored doors, you could make push bunkers with vending machines and windows through the entire core so your best loot despawns when you get raided. You can triple compound your base, surround it by automatic turret pods, add SAM sites, build a flank base or a tower, incorporate a suicide bunker, add externals, etc. There are always ways to "improve" the strength of any base, but they require more time, more effort, more material, and most of the time they aren't even worth it. My suggestions are very much worth it, they don't change the time, the cost, or the effort in any way, but they drastically increase the strength of the base. You're advocating for inferior build techniques, on a mediocre "trio" base with a single spawn point (that's right next to the entrance), poor quality of life, hardly any defendability, and unnecessary honeycomb that costs more than the base itself. I don't know what you're trying to defend here, but it sounds like your claim is pretty baseless. Feel free to correct me.

I would add stairs bunker in design instead and raise the walls by 1 halfwall. This will also raise the tower size a bit and can be usefull on some maps.

Are there any alternatives to the triangle ladder hatches for early game? I'm somewhat new to rust and I'm trying to figure out what I can put in those spots so that they're not exposed. I mean once you're done the base I guess there's technically no easy way in, and every step is sealed by garage doors anyway, so I guess I could use ladders until I manage to loot the triangle hatches?

Very compact and plenty of storage. Easy raid though. Anytime you see a circle style base that is 2 or more layers tall, the 1st thought is a top down raid bc everyone always puts so many doors. That's the idea of the build after all. Since you have 2 single doors on 2nd floor, the obvious path is through the doors then x number of rockets down (based on ceiling material). Max 24 rockets to tc. (4 per armored single door and 16 rockets down to entire core if armored). Not very strong. The only loot not accessed by this path is the top loot. But that will be your worst loot anyways.

Yes and no. The loot upstairs would be mats and rebuild loot such as a few kits and doors. Also the top down part is valid but it’s cheap for a 24 rocket raid and if they want all loot it would be a little or a lot more depending on how they blow it

@@BarrettMK22 The humbug uses a God bunker. I'm legit living in one solo now. My entire neighborhood has been Raided out and I'm still here. They have always stopped at the bunker. Some some recommendations I would make are: - Add a windowed shooting floor one floor lower then the roof sneaky shooting section or build on top of a hill (shooting uphill is hard); - use camp fires and small boxes instead of ramps (personal preference it's less cramped to move around); - and leaving a triangle ladder hatch at the very top is pretty safe. It's a long path to TC from there if you HQM center triangle floor pieces. It'll give you the option of a roof exit and future expansion. That would be more expensive but I play on 2x or more. I still think it's probably manageable on 1x though.
