Thank you for sharing for gifts and abilities. Just one question - after wetting your brush with water, do you dry it well before dipping in the ink?
@KateWuArt Жыл бұрын
Just like using regular watercolor or acrylic, I dried the brush a bit.

Great demo. Which brush are you using? There are so many different types - and not being able to understand the symbols written on the handles makes it very difficult to tell them apart. Thank you.
@KateWuArt2 жыл бұрын
Yes there are so many of different types of brushes. The small one is made of wolf hair. The large one is made of goat’s hair.

Would love to buy your brushs and the rice paper? I'm guessing that's the type of paper you're using? Would love to see more.☺️💞
@KateWuArt Жыл бұрын
Thanks. I use half-ripe rice paper. Rice paper is really big and bulking to ship. It comes in 50 pcs of a pack! I am now sourcing some cut rice paper. If I found some good quality paper that is more manageable to ship, I can sell you some. Please stay tune.

Love it. May I ask the brush and ink brand you used? Thanks
@KateWuArt3 жыл бұрын
I use a Japanese brand called 月宮殿, you may see the bottle in my other videos. I bought my brushes from my teacher. You just have to look for wolf hair for the smaller brush and goat hair for the larger one.

I am a beginner. Kindly tell me what accessories are required for Chinese painting????
@KateWuArt3 жыл бұрын
I use simple tools for my paintings. 2 brushes (one large, one small) but you may start with just the small one, rice paper, ink, some Chinese watercolour. Please check out the “the use of ink, paper and brush” video and “how to use traditional color for Chinese painting” video.

@@beanieazuki Ok. I think you may try the little chicks kzbin.info/www/bejne/i4PCaq2whaatbNU which consists of big dots and a few short strokes. I may run some zoom class in the near future. Pls stay tune.

Believe it or not. My first painting lesson was to paint orchid. Painting chicken and mastering the few strokes of orchid leaves are good start for Chinese painting. Just keep trying.
