Yes he was irritating. But I enjoyed the recipe. Like others have said, I have only seen this with cocoa also in the crust (bottom mixture) but I might like this even better. Not so overwhelmingly chocolate.

I'd always seen this chocolate cobbler made with the crust chocolate also. Yours is a good one too, hadn't thought about this version. We used to have another recipe called "poor man's cobbler". It was made with spice, brown sugar,and raisins in it! It is so good,think it's my favorite. Have you heard of it?
