I made these, doubled them up, stuffed with fibre & decorated with tiny red beds then made into a garland and wrapped 'bottle' lights around. they look so pretty I have had three friends requesting them for next year - thank you for your great tutorial !

love and appreciate this tutorial. But on the screen after we do a 4sc,dec,4sc. you leave text 4sc,dec,4sc instead of changing to 3sc, dec, 4sc. Just in case anyone else sees this. there's only one problem no one thinks about when they use type to chat. They place it on the bottom of the screen where all the icons and controls are so when you start straight off with text on the screen across the bottom the control are still covering it. You don't get to read it and if it is too fast for you to read and you try to pause and read the text keeps being hidden because as long as your paused you can't see any thing one the bottom inch or so of the video.

Written pattern: not written correctly, but you get the gist. Chain 15. ROW 1 SC(single crochet) into 2nd chain from hook, 5 more SC in next 5 chain stitches for a total of 6 sc. SC 2 together/decrease. 6 more SC. ROW 2 (for remainder of pattern, go into back loops only) Chain 1, turn, 5 SC SC 2 together, 6 more SC. (For a total of 12 stitches) ROW 3 Ch 1, turn 5SC, SC 2 together, 5 SC (11 stitches total) ROW 4 Ch 1, turn, 4SC, SC 2 together, 5 SC ROW 5 Ch1, turn, 4SC, SC 2 together, 4 SC. ROW 6 CH 1, turn, 3SC, SC 2 tog, 3 SC (7 stithes total) ROW 7 CH 1, turn, 2SC, SC 2 tog, 3 SC ROW 8 Ch1, turn, 2 SC, SC 2 tog, 2SC ROW 9 CH1, turn, 1SC, SC 2 tog, 2 SC (4stitches) ROW 10 CH1, turn, 1SC, SC 2 tog, 1 SC (3 stitches) ROW 11 CH 1, turn, 1SC, SC 2 together (2 stitches) ROW 12 CH1, turn, SC 2 tog Finish off, make loop if desired. Trunk (for this use both loops for your stitches, not just the back loops like the tree was) Get diff color. Pick center 4 stitches at base of tree. SC into those 4 stitches. Chain 1, turn, 3 SC. Finish off.

This is a nice tutorial for beginners. It's painful watching you struggling with that horrid, metal cochet hook. You should consider trying the clover amours or a soft grip ergonomic inline and holding your hook closer to tje head for more control and even tension. Nice little trees, though. Job well done.
