I always get asked what foundation I'm using or how my skin looks so perfect whenever I do anything on tv. The "perfect foundationt trick" is really in the "foundation contouring"...it's what makes the skin look perfect, slenderizes your face, brings out your features and makes you look alive and glowy!
So here is the foundation I've been obsessed with because it makes my skin look perfect! It is full coverage and gives your skin the perfect dewy glow that you can then set with powder.
All you need is 2-3 foundation shades...
Your first shade should be the lightest foundation that matched the skin at your jawline.
The second foundation shade should be 2 to even 4 shades darker than the light shade.
And if you use a third shade like me, it can be a color right in between the darkest foundation and the lightest.
Apply foundation in a dabbing motion to get the most coverage. I like a VERY FULL COVERAGE FOUNDATION, myself! I want my foundation to look like I have perfect doll skin!

I bought it online in the lightest shade and thought I needed to return it when I swatched it, but it's the strangest thing - it actually oxidizes LIGHTER and seems to match me after it oxidizes. If it didnt do that it wouldn't work for me at all. I do wish they would offer a few lighter shades though!

I've been buying this foundation for over a yr, i use the lightest shade on the Ulta website in alabaster it works perfectly, i don't use foundation so i don't know what it looks like on the rest of the skin but i use it as concealer for under the eyes and if i have a blemish and it works perfectly, for me because my undereyes are drier but the rest of my skin is normal it seems to lighten really nicely and looks beautiful with a dust of powder to set it

Ms Kate i personally like the Clinique beyond perfecting foundation + concealer, but if u like something a lil more glowy & that looks lighter & still has coverage, Clinique now makes a Beyond Perfecting Foundation + concealer + Glow & it's georgeous. My Ulta doesn't have the whole clinique line in store 2 swatch so I go 2 Dillards for anything like that & they'll give u a 10 day sample to try (they'll do that for most of their products) It actually might be exclusive to Dillards, i can't find it on Sephora or Ulta, but i wore my lil sample yesterday lol

Ms Kate I'm sry I lied 2 ya earlier...i was just doing my makeup & saw that it's the Clinique Even Better line that now has a Glow version, not the Beyong Perfecting; but it still has great coverage & you can use the same basics w/ diff colors if u want 2 try another clinique foundation u might like better (it def feels lighter)...i use clinique because it doesn't aggrivate my hormonal breakouts I get occasionally...i don't get a ton but if anything irritates the 1s I get I end up w/ inflammation that causes post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (dark brown or purple marks) or post-inflammatory erythema (the red or pink marks) & they take forever to fade or me.

Ms Kate I completely agree! When I tried it, it was far from full coverage but looked and felt so heavy and sticky. I’ve tried dozens of foundations and this was by far the most thick and heavy feeling while still looking totally sheer. I wish it would have worked for me :(

That video was showing the damages NOT washing makeup off would cause. That was the experiment she did. The video states she was only allowed a cursory wash and just had to cover her face with more makeup. You need to watch it again!

Komerican10 I wear this daily and im 46 with dry skin. I've also been using oil of Olay skin regenerist moisturizer under it. (Red pot unscented) I've found the less foundation I use the better. I just do a lot of blending! Also ROC 5 in one eye cream has been a game changer. My eyes don't crease nearly as much! Hope that helps!

Charlene Eatmon it's called RoC 5 in one. I went to the dermatologist a few weeks back. At her suggestion I bought it. Use it twice daily. Saw results in about 4 days. My fine line under eyes are not so noticeable. The crepey appearance of my lid is gone. Overall smoother look. I be been impressed. Got it at Walgreens.

guurrll! I've done everything in my power. I've actually just stopped using foundation for awhile and replaced it with Dr. Jart's Ceramidin cream for a moisturizer and Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment with SPF30 as a "foundation" since my skin is so drying. you're so beautiful! i'll achieve the greatness that is your skin someday. hopefully. lol

They didn’t teach ya that in cosmetology school or beauty school? That’s like the number one thing they teach and the difference between a makeup artist licensed and someone who learns online and calls themselves a MUA. I’m kinda shocked ya don’t know as a MUA. No shade. I’m just shocked. There’s many ways rubbing alcohol yes is used for most makeup that’s powdered but you DONT want to use it ever for creams. You want to always scrape creams out of their components with a spatula either metal or plastic and then put on mixing board or palette. Never double dip! So that means when ya dip in once and go back ya have to clean that metal spatula with 70% isopropyl alcohol let fry then go in or it’s easier to just buy disposable spatulas so ya can just toss n grab a new one. If ya forget and have to clean the cream ya want to scrape off the top layer and do a quick spritz if you have to of the rubbing 70% isopropyl alcohol but it can change the cream makeup. People say it doesn’t but many formulas yes it does that’s why for creams ya want to always just use disposables and scoop out on palettes and not double dip. For the powders you can scrape off top layer with tissue just rub it then spray quick with the alcohol and let dry. To clean brushes you don’t wanna just do a quick spray in bristles to spot clean you wanna make sure the bristles are soaked so ya know it’s clean. Then go do deep clean after each client. I could go on and on. Make sure you have disposable lip brushes and mascara wants etc.

Clinique has the worst shade options for cooler skin tones and they have a pretty large range. I tried this foundation and it’s pretty cakey, makes sense because it has the coverage of a concealer. But to each their own. I find this method not very efficient, time consuming if you’re blending properly, and pricey because you’re having to purchase several foundation colors.🤷🏼‍♀️

Try using a setting spray before your daycream(for example embryolisse) then prime and then the foundation. I use this same clinique beyond perfecting often on dry skin, without any problems. Just a suggestion😁
