I crochet the first ten rows of color A, then the next 10 with color B and continue to the end. You end up with 4 ten rows of A and 3 ten rows of B. The edging can be with A and the last row of edging can be color B. Looks good!

Does this pattern crochet up skew... pulling to one side... not straight up the sides... My tension is good. I use the same hook size throughout. I love the squishiness of the stitch. Don't want to block it. Blocking will flatten the pattern.

When you start the pattern use a size larger to make the beginning chains. I had that problem too, then I had to frog it and start over after checking other channels to see how to correct it. Another thing make sure u end the rows and start the rows the right way 😀😀😀hope that help

Hi Brianna, just come across this beautiful pattern. I noticed that with only 3 double crochet at the beginning, then skip 2 before you make the front post double around the V stich. If you don't skip 2 then the front post double around the V stich doesn't sit right if you look at the others. You normally always skip stiches. How did it look when you finished the blanket with 5 double crochet at the start. Can you tell that the first one is a little different to the other ones. Any advice would be very much appreciated. 🙂

i just hit a snag 😭I'm working on the border and I got confused with how many chains are used in the V stitch. Your words say chain three for the V-stitch in the first side of the first row of the border. Then on the second side, you say chain two for the V-stitch. You say chain two for the third side. I got to the end of the third side and was counting the V-stitches to make sure I had nineteen. I then remembered that the first side, you said to chain three for the v-stitch and I thought that was odd because the third side says chain two. I decided to slow the video right down to see exactly what you were doing and realized you were SAYING chain three as you ACTUALLY were chaining two stitches. I made my blanket longer than yours (it's a rectangle instead of a square) and now I have three sides to rip out.... 😔

Thanks for such a beautiful pattern. I love it. Is it normal that you have 5 double crochet at the start and end and then it goes to 3 either side. It just looks like it is wrong. V stiches don't seem to line up correctly at the start a bit higher up. No straight lines either. I think it's starting in the 2 to the 6 row. It is only at the start that is looking funny. I have been crocheting for over 50 years and it got me puzzled. Help

Firstly, I would like to thank you for sharing this beautiful pattern. I made this as a newborn gift and for several reasons it actually took me a few years to finish it. Sadly the blanket has warped diagonally which made it look a little funny. Well, the gift was appreciated in the end, so never mind. I really can't remember what I might have done wrong in the beginning.
