In the third row u said 32 stitches. We should have 36 right? I was confused but that's what I got. We're going by 12's

When you add more rows are you adding more rows or should you repeat row four over to get the correct measurement across

Love the magic circle. If I needed to make the caccoon bigger how would you do the next round increase?

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I am kinda an absolute n00b.. my mom tried to teach me to crochet a long time ago. I get it, but my hands do not! 😂 however i can do double rounds really well! I have been trying to find a pattern that I can accomplish to make one for my newborn (I have until new years!) to take photos with. I figured i could wrap them for photos and slide them in this. I found a snowman idea that was adorable, with a black beanie and scarf wrapped arounf the top and giant buttons on the front (so winter and not just christmas themed.. in case they arent a christmas baby). If I have baby totally bundled up (knees bent) do you have *any* idea how many rows would be good? Like maybe 15? Its supposed to be a little tighter so the knees look like the bottom snowball bulging and the top snowball is the shoulders. Unfortunately I dont have any newborns i know to borrow for measuring 😅 this is all a guess for me! (More of a seamstress but I still wouldnt know how long would be good). My mom is no help. I appreciate your slow broken down video!! So many say "for beginners" and then they go too fast and dont give instruction for each stitch. I got all the way to round 4 and decided to start over making it a little tighter after seeing your round 5 recommendation. I think I can whip this out within a day!

I love all of that so much! From my experience with my two kids, newborns are typically 17-20 inches long. And if you want the legs bent I would probably go with about 15” long from top to bottom ☺️ so glad my video works well for you and I am so glad that you are going to make this for your brand new little ☺️🥰☮️💙🎶

@@TheCraftNut I'm using what was suggested in the video. It's a soft yarn, would that make a difference? I tried even with a thinner yarn and it did the same thing
@TheCraftNut3 жыл бұрын
The weight of the yarn and hook size will effect things but if you are using the same as the video then I’m not quite sure why it’s not working out the right way. You’re making sure you have the right amount of stitches at the end of each round?
