My sister was invited to a shower for an expectant mom…who is having is identical twin girls. My sis asked me if I could make a pair of baby hats for her to give as a gift to the mom-to-be. So I found this video & made one hat in the pink with white as the secondary color, and the other hat with the colors switched. And of course with the butterfly embellishment for each. She called me to say that the mama loved them, especially as she is a “hat person”! Thank you for this pattern & tutorial. I just started crocheting at the beginning of 2022 & this was easy for me to follow.

I've just finished this pretty and easy hat. When I came to change colour on the frilly edge I found I did not have a suitable colour in the thickness of yarn I used so I used a finer white yarn and it looks good. When I was doing the edge I was fast running out of yarn to finish it! What to do! I unravelled it and started again using a slip stitch instead of the single crochet between the three chain stitches and, for me, I think it looks better and the yarn lasted with about two yards to spare. I'm very happy with this hat, thank you!!
