How to crochet baby clothes for 0-3 months: Super cute and easy baby pants, leggings or trousers for 0-3M to match the Thomas Baby Cardigan Sweater Pattern and beanie hat with a beautiful and easy crochet stitch pattern.
You can make these simply adorable Thomas baby trousers, leggings or pants smaller or bigger by simply changing your hook size and making it in the exact same way as this tutorial (see below) with same stitch count and number of rows OR use the measurements below to make them from NB to 24M. Just remember that these sizes are not exact since not all babies are the same size and since tension varies from person to person which can affect the final size. OPTION 1 (different hook size):
Preemie use a 4mm hook with #4, Aran or 10ply yarn
NB use a 4.5mm hook with #4, Aran or 10ply yarn
0-3M I used a 5mm hook with #3, DK or 8ply yarn
3-6M use a 5.5mm hook with #4, Aran or 10ply yarn
6-12M use a 6mm hook with #4, Aran or 10ply yarn
12-24M use a 6.5mm hook with #4, Aran or 10ply yarn
OPTION 2 (MEASUREMENTS):
WAIST: +/- 1-2in
NB-1M = 14.25in
1-3M = 15.75in
3-6M = 16.5in
6-9M = 17.5in
9-12M = 18.15in
12-24M = 19.5in
RISE: +/- 1-2in
(From waist)
NB-1M = 5.5in
1-3M = 6in
3-6M = 8in
6-9M = 8.25in
9-12M = 8.75in
12-24M = 9in
LEG LENGTH: +/- 1-2in
(From rise)
NB-1M = 4.5in
1-3M = 5in
3-6M = 6.5in
6-9M = 8.5in
9-12M = 9in
12-24M = 10in
Materials used:
*Pants= Loops & Thread Impeccable #4 yarn - 70g total (50g blue haze / 20g white) for 0-3M size
You can also use any yarn with similar weight like Aran or 10ply
*Approx. Gauge: 2in = 4 rows / 7 sts with #4 yarn a 5mm hook in the round with main st pattern.
