I agree with the previous comment, it really helps you showing the stitches with the needle. You can't always see it when other tutorials use the hook to show you your stitches. Love the stocking, plan on making some. I also just subscribed to your channel, great teacher.

This is an amazing tutorial and the stocking it makes are adorable. but for those that struggle working into a chain(like me) or having to crochet pieces together(also like me) try starting with the cuff and making it in reverse. I tried typing out the changes I made as clearly as I could and I hope someone else finds this helpful. -----With your larger hook ch45 and make a circle like she does in the video. ch5(counts as a dc and ch2) skip 2 chains, dc and ch2. repeat until you get to the end of the circle and slst into the third ch from your ch5. you should have 15 spaces. ch2(does not count as a stitch) and make 3 hdc into each space. you should have 45 hdc. start or end the next 4 rows with a hdc decease to get to 41 stitches. slst to close the row and start the next row by chaining 16 and slst into the same stitch to make your loop. switch to your smaller hook. ch2 and dc into the 3rd loop of your hdc to make the first row of the leg. slst and ch 1 to fasten off and cut your yarn. now would be a good time to do the edge for the cuff. then turn your cuff inside out and continue the pattern as she does in the tutorial but only make ten dc rows until you fasten off to make the heel. I started with my main color in the stitch to the left of the loop and the seam lined up with the loop.

I tried making it everything fine except when I finished the heel I was missing 6 stitches …is the count still 41 stitches to the toe?

Hi Lupie! After the heel is complete the stitch count goes up to 44 or 46, including those sideways rows, and depending how many stitches you add when you work into them. The stitch count for the foot goes down to 38 - 40 approximately, after the decrease rounds. Perhaps you missed a stitch at the beginning of the heel row, or the last one on the cliff?
