on R8 I ended up with 4 extra stitches. does this mean somewhere in row 6-7 i probably increased in a couple stitches? is it okay to keep going with the stitch count being a little off since its a circle?
@pemmytsui3377
@pemmytsui3377 2 жыл бұрын
you could decrease an extra 4 times in the next few rows! It would only affect the overall shape a little if you're using chunkier yarn, but might be a little more obvious if you're using some other yarn with a more clear stitch definition. I would probably go back to row 6/7 and try to locate the mistake, but it might not even be that obvious if you just decrease a few times later on.

I need a clarification. When you do one of the four (4) invisible decreases in R11, do you do a FLO in the first stitch, and then you insert the hook into both loops of the 2nd stitch?

I’ve tried making a lot of your patterns and mine never look the same. Mine are way fatter than yours and kind of deformed. My question: I’ve been using bernat blanket yarn it’s a yarn weight 6 super bulky. According to the label it asks for an 8mm crochet hook, but you’re using a 4.5mm. Is this my mistake? Are you using a small needle on a large yarn? I’m in no way a beginner I have been crocheting for years but I’m also not an expert, can you please reply and let me know if this is my mistake so I can fix it.

Count the stiches after every round make sure its the right amount before moving on .. the same happened to me so I re-did the round and fixed the mistake and it usually comes out to being the right amount once you've fixed your mistakes... mistakes usually happen while crocheting it's good to keep track of how many stiches you have on the end of each round

I am using Bernat blanket yarn and when doing a magic circle with 6 stitches I get a kind of dome shape at the top of the head, instead of more round. I was told once to start with 8 stitches instead of 6 and then the 2nd round would be 16 instead of 12, and 3 round would be 24. This means I am at 24 one row early so how should I adjust the pattern to account for this? Maybe skip a round or do 2 rows of 24?
@steph3878
@steph3878 9 ай бұрын
I've learned that when making circles, in the round, what ever the starting sc count is equals to the number of increases you make each round. Example = 8 sc in the magic ring R1, R2 - 16 sc, R3 - 24, R4 - 32, etc until you get it to the size you like. Hope that helps! Good luck!!
