HI. I'm 11 years old.I followed this tutorial and made an octopus for my little brother within 2 hours. I think this project is really cute and it is absolutely beginner friendly. This was my third-ever crochet project and I succeeded from the first try. All you need to know so that you can make on of these octopuses is this: single crochet, slip-knot, slip-stitch, and the chain (in US terms)

Took me 20minutes and it was my first ever stuffed animal! I've been making blankets since I was a kid and just started teaching my kids/neices basic stitches(like just started the other day) and they wanted to do stuffed animals lol I told them they have to learn to just do a chain and single stitch first. But thought I'd check out something simple since I only ever do blanket patterns. This was so quick and fun I can't wait to show the kids!

Oh I loved this so much not only did I get a cute octo pal out of it but this honestly helped me better learn some of the stitches then other tutorials - All I have right now is like smaller wooly yarn def want try this out with a different yarn next time (I'm left handed but still found it very helpful and easy to follow)
