This fleece yarn is driving me nuts. Having trouble making the magic circle because when I pull the circle shut it doesn't slide like regular yarn does. If I pull too hard the string breaks. Don't know what else to do, have tried at least 7 times. I must have lucked out when I made the fox body but can't do these ears. Is there another way to get the same result as a magic circle?

you can try leaving a super long tail on the magic ring that helps me!

Chain 2 and make the number of stitches you needed in your Magic ring in the first Stitch of the chain !

I was having the same issue, and then I re-watched Rose & Lily's magic ring video and realized I was totally trying to pull the wrong yarn through. I don't know how it worked for me 10% of the time. (Maybe I was pulling the correct string by accident? Lol) But now I pull the correct string through and it works for me every time. 😊

Hey, I recently found that making a magic ring with a sturdier and more easy yarn and then crocheting your stitches with chenille inside works wonders! My advice is to use a matching color but it’s not a big deal if you don’t have one!

I agree with ​@@mayflyrose8195. I chain two and then you put the 6 SC in the second chain from your hook and the slip stitch to close. You can find tutorials on this by searching "magic circle using a chain"

Go a few sizes less than what it says on the wrapper

i haven’t made the fox particularly but i do own my own etsy shop and the only yarn i use is bernat blanket yarn, the normal rule for amigurumi is to use a size or two smaller than what the wrapper says. With this yarn though the wrapper says an 8mm which i’ve found is perfect. I know some people use 10mm but then you get gaps in your work and your playful sticks out. With anything smaller than an 8mm the stitches look crowded if that makes sense they look smushed together. So i would recommend an 8mm!
