I made this for my teen daughter (she is extremely small), so I actually used a #3 light weight yarn with a (G)4.50 mm hook. I love how it turned out! Very dainty, but the detail was still very obvious. I did 3 repeats. Thank you so very much for this fun and cute headband! It was extremely fun to crochet and was my first time using the FHDC. As a long time crocheter, who has always used the chain method, it was a tad challenging at first but I absolutely LOVE it and got the hang of it quickly. Thanks again!!

I absolutely love this!!! I’m making several of these for Christmas gifts. I made an adorable purple one that’s all different colors (Capri Eco Cotton, color Violet Splash) (got the yarn from Micheal’s) I made the adult small and used less than 96 yards, so if you have a little extra yarn laying around, I highly recommend making these. They’re so adorable and pretty fast to make, the video was very detailed and explained very well. Thank you, I will continue watching more of your other videos 🫶🏼

Great tutorial and lovely headband! ❤️ I made this headband with a fine weight wool yarn so i had to adjust the measurements accordingly (ended up with about the same width headband, maybe a little slimmer than yours, but with four rows of picot). When i started finishing it I noticed that with my wool yarn the difference in width from the first edge to the first picot row vs the last picot row to the last edge was more noticable - yours looks great and I didn't even notice, but it bothered me with my headband that one edge was a lot wider than the other 😅 I ended up solving this issue by making the very first row double crochet instead of half double crochet, and then the last rows after the last picot row I changed up entirely - instead of a repeat of the sc, hdc, sc through back loop after the last picot row, i did TWO rows of single crochet, tied it off, turned the work and did a row of hdc through front loop only from the wrong end of the work. The edges are now the same width and although it's impossible to make them look *exactly* the same, they're *nearly* perfectly matching! 😁

I made this twice. The first time I made an adult medium based on my head measurements, but it was way too big.
