This video is so perfect! You make it seem special easy how you explain it ☺️ quick question, if I wanted to have a much bigger basket would i start lets say by making a magic ring of 10 stitches? Or 12/14/16 etc?

I made a queen size blanket using this stitch. Icr what the stitch is called, but I found it in one of my stitch books. I used Mandala yarn and a 6.5mm hook. It took forever but it turned out beautifully.

I am in love too! But now I am trying to balance it a little bc one of my favorite crochet girlies who is a crochet all day kinda gal actually permanently damaged her radial nerve by doing so! Now I am watching her journey of trying to find something to fill the void bc her doctor said she can never crochet again! Not to be the downer! Just love it so much I would hate to lose it! ❤❤

Hi! Just wanted to ask, if you would recommend making this scarf with yarn made out of 100% wool? I'm very unsure about the yarn I need to purchase and the one in your bio is sadly not available in my country :( Oh and - may I ask if you could share the oz of the amount of yarn you used? Love your tutorial btw, I immediately wanted to jump up and crochet this!!

Can I make this using DK yarn? Do I just need to use a larger crochet hook or make adjustments? I'm very new to all of this 😊
@TheTurtleTrunk5 күн бұрын
Hi! Since DK is quite a bit thinner than what I used you have a few options: 1. you can go UP a hook size or 2 to match gauge and follow the instructions for your size (this will probably create larger gaps between your stitches though) 2. you can go DOWN a hook size or 2 but you'll need to follow a larger size or add more stitches and rows. (going down a hook size will prevent gaps between the stitches) 3. use the same hook size as me and follow the instructions for your size but hold 2 strands of your DK yarn held together. (Generally 2 strands of DK held together equal the size of 1 single strand of medium/worsted weight yarn). I personally think the easiest option is 3 because you can just follow the pattern as normal but hold 2 strands together. Use option 1 or 2 though if you want your beanie to be thinner. Hope that helps!

I somehow have 56 stitches on row 12 but I’m rolling with it 😂
@TheTurtleTrunk5 күн бұрын
Oops! Having so many extra stitches will probably throw you off when you get to the heel. If your rounds are consistently 56, your stocking will probably look fine, but if you are increasing your stitch count each round by adding extra stitches, then your stocking is going to look very wonky. Be sure you're not adding extra stitches each row, this stitch pattern can be a bit confusing knowing where to work your stitches, so just be sure you're only working 1 stitch in each stitch.
@masuganut20826 күн бұрын
Could I adjust this to be a tube sock type? Or do you think the heel is needed for stability? Please and thank you ❤
@TheTurtleTrunk5 күн бұрын
Do you mean to have no heel at all? I'm not exactly sure how'd that would turn out. If I had to guess, I'd say, If you just skip the heel part, the fabric will bunch up a bit weird around the foot and may slip down when you're wearing them, but if you want to skip the heel you can most certainly try that!
@masuganut20825 күн бұрын
@@TheTurtleTrunk thank you for replying. Yeah like no heel at all so it’s an easier fit, I knit socks and seemed to like the fit of no heel BUT now that I read your reply, crochet socks are probably too thick for that. I’m sorry if I was confusing. I think I’ll just make it how you intended. They are so cute and I love the stitch! It looks so squishy and comfy! Thank you ❤️

Hiya, love the video, quick question though (I’m a complete beginner) if you’re doing the same stitch (or what looks like the same stitch to me) why do you need to do it four times and then two times? Wouldn’t it just be, ‘do HDC’s 40 times’ ? Tia x

I'm confused. You started out showing how to make the FHDC and you made four then your video shows you only pulling through one loop and then through all three. Did you switch stitches or are we supposed to follow that?
@TheTurtleTrunk9 күн бұрын
Hi! I worked all FHDC for that first row, it could look confusing because I was working them faster after the 4th time. But for row 1 you are working all FHDC. To FHDC: *Yarn over, insert hook into the bottom CH, pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through 1st loop on the hook, yarn over and pull through all 3 loops on your hook.*
