here’s the pattern written out! great pattern and video!! begin by: slip knot and ch 17 row 1: skip 1 ch, sc into each stitch until end of row then inc, sc 4 into the same loop continue sc into each st until end of the row then inc, sc 4 into the same loop sl st into the first sc st row 2: ch 1, turn, inc ( 2 sc in each sc st, 4 times) then continue sc into each st until you have 4 st from the st marker then inc ( 2 sc in each sc st, 4 times) continue sc into each st until the end of the row, sl st row 3-4: ch 1, turn, sc into each st around until the end of the row, sl st row 5: ch 1, turn, hdc into each st around until the end of the row, sl st row 6: ch 1, turn, sc into each st around until the end of the row, sl st row 7: ch 1, turn, fpdc (into hdc), skip 1 sc, hdc (into sc), skip 1 hdc, fpdc, repeat around until the end of the row, sl st row 8: repeat row 6 row 9: ch 1, turn, hdc (into sc), skip 1 hdc, fpdc, skip 1 sc, hdc, repeat around until the end of row sl st keep repeating row 6, row 7, and row 9 until you have 14 rows of alpine st row 22: this is the border, sc around until end of row and sl st clasp: ch 1, turn, sc in next 9 st continue from last st, ch 16 skip 9 ch, sc in next 7 ch when you reach the end, continue sc into each st around until you have last 3 st strap: continue from last st, ch 180 (can make shorter or longer) into corner of the opposite side of bag, sl st 2 times to connect strap turn, sc into each ch until the end of row when you get to the end, continue sc into the next 3 st, sl st cut yarn and weave in ends button: 39:00 make a magic circle or magic ring sc 8 into the circle ( can make bigger by adding my sc into circle) pull the tail of yarn sl st into first sc st ch 1, sc 15 into the circle, sl st ch 1 and leave a long tail of yarn pull short string tight and cut using the long tail and yarn needle weave around the button when at the end, pull then attach button the front of bag

also, this isn’t my pattern but, when doing the clasp when connecting it to the bag at the end of sc 7, i would do a slip stitch around the previous sc so there isn’t a gap

Row 1 1:35 Row 2 6:04 Row 3 10:04 Row 4 10:04 (Rows 3 and 4 are the same) Row 5 12:48 Row 6 14:36 Row 7 15:48 Row 8 21:04 Row 9 22:23 Row 22 31:29 The rows 7-9 count as two alpine stitches and since we have to do 14 in total, 12 alpine stitches remain. Later in the video, a single crochet row is shown and required for the border and the process of the row is not included in the video so that leads to row 22. Button 39:00
