Easy Crochet Shawl Pattern in Double Crochet

I purchased 4 mystery bags from Mary Maxim and each bag had 2 skeins of Prism 3-weight yarn, all in the same colour. The colour I have is Rain Shower. It's very pretty, but I prefer the color you have (it's more gender-neutral). Unfortunately, as we all know with mystery bags, you get what you get lol. Thank you for this tutorial. I now have a quick and easy pattern to make some prayer shawls to donate to the Cancer hospital here in Hamilton, Ontario. hanks so much MJ!!!

I love this pattern!! Quick and easy with beautiful results. I'm so happy that the granny stitch has come back in style. I just purchased 573 yards of (worsted weight)the most gorgeous wool/alpaca/silk blend I’ve ever seen yesterday. I couldn’t resist this yarn. I’ve been searching for a pattern on Pinterest and KZbin cause I want to use as much of it at once as I can. Do you think this could work? I won’t be doing tassels, and if I had to be short a row?

Pretty colors in the yarn. Question: Could you please clarify if you crochet in the top stitch of the turning chain3, of do you crochet in between the last double crochet and the turning chain. Thank you.

Do you have to chain 2, I did a cardigan with the same design and it never mentioned the chain 2's yet it turned out just fine

For this pattern it requires a ch 2. You can modify or change it however you want. If you want it to look the same as mine use the way I have done it. Not using ch 2 will change the size.

After 30 rows mine is so small. Used the exact yarn and the correct hook. My tension is on too. I'm lost. Even after I block it I don't think I can pin it to measurements. :(

If you are using the right hook, same yarn and have completed all the rows and it is not the correct measurements; your gauge is off.

I always seem to have some of the exact same yarn and colorway as you do, lol. Again, this is another yarn that's been sitting around in my stash (just like the Puppy Fur I used to make your raglan sweater :) A lot of times I have NO idea what to make so when you come up with these patterns I can't express how exciting it is to actually see a project made from the same yarn!
