EASY CROCHET SHAWL PATTERN - Pason Pocket Shawl

This EASY CROCHET SHAWL PATTERN crochet along project features a classic, warm and stylish pocket shawl for an adult size. Perfect for cozying up by the fire with a good book.
In this crochet pocket shawl tutorial, you will make the Pason Pocket Shawl in adult size. This video is designed to assist with a written pattern available on both Etsy.com and Ravelry.com.
The digital PDF pattern includes sizes from child (2-5 yrs) through adult. The shawl is made of two panels seamed together. The finished shawl in this video will measure 75 1/2" x 18 1/4" approximately.
Materials you will need:
worsted weight yarn medium size 4 (about 7 skeins or 32.5 oz. of Heartland by Lion Brand was used in the video)
5.5 mm hook
yarn needle
sewing pins
Skills you will need:
chain, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, working in rows and making fringe.
Gauge:
5 V stitches x 7 rows = 3" x 3" (7.5 x 7.5 cm)
10 sc x 9 rows = 3" x 2" (7.5 x 5 cm)

I’ve made shawls so far two of the same pattern one a different pattern . I’m going to have to make this Shawl ! Do you think just a solid color or could I do like a boarder ? I can't understand why has to be done in two panels can you please explain?? Also I am using a different yarn I am Doing the same amount of stitches but mine is 24 inches wide you think it's because the difference kind of yarn ?? Thank you

If you don't mind your V stitches being upside down one one side than you can make it one piece! That's the only reason I made it in two parts. Also, your gauge might be different and I don't know what is the size of your yarn. I used medium size 4 and it's pretty soft yarn. I hope this helps! Thank you for watching!

Considering that the gauge is 5 V stitches x 7 rows = 3" x 3" (7.5 x 7.5 cm) and the width of the shawl in the size in the video is 18 1/4" you can add as many stitches as you want and make the shawl as wide as you want. Thank you for watching!
