if anyone is making this i recommend multiples of 40 instead of 80 so when you have to halve the pattern for the front panels it will still be a multiple of 20. learned that the hard way and did 60 as my back panel and had to frog 😭

I tried this top, taking measurements and everything since I'm a bustier girl, and unfortunately it didn't work out for me. I think it's a matter of many factors. One, I wasn't doing the decrease stitches on the regular double crochet rows on the back panel and so when I finally realized, my back panel was a trapezoid, not a rectangle! Ouch! I tried straightening it out by "sewing it" straight, and went ahead with the front panel. I did everything the tutorial showed, and it was looking so promising! I was trying it on periodically and it was fitting, but when I finished the first front panel and slip stitched it onto the back panel, it stretched out in a wonky way and no longer fit around my bust. Bummer that it didn't end up working out for me. :/

you can give it a try! you’ll just need to make sure you go by measurement for you not just the number of stitches i give since your gauge will be different

for the front panels, what if half of your back panel isn't a multiple of 20?

you’ll have to do some playing around but was your back panel slightly big or slightly small? for example if your back panel chain was 100 and then divide that by 2 = 50 and if it was slightly big i’d go with 40 for the front panels and see how that works. and if it was slightly small i’d go with 60!
