Hey guys! I hope this video finds you well and happy! This toddler sunhat is super quick and easy to work up! It is made using less than a skein of a #4 medium weight yarn with a 6mm hook! This toddler sunhat measures 19.5" around and is ideal for 1-3 year old children, depending on the child. This hat is breathable for warm weather and keeps the sun out of the face. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do!

I followed this exactly with a NO4 Yarn. and a 6mm hook and it fits me and I have a large head. How would I make this to fit a 2 year old boy? I don’t think a 5.5 hook would do it.
@TheCraftNut
@TheCraftNut 2 жыл бұрын
If you worked it exactly how I did here in the video it should be able to fit a 2 year old. Some yarns are thicker than others even if they are labeled the same number though. Maybe the yarn you have is on the thicker side. Otherwise I’m not sure what happened there
@rosie9205
@rosie9205 Жыл бұрын
I had the same issue with a Red Heart yarn. Sizing down to a 5mm/5.5mm and not tight tension would probably be fine since yarn tends to stretch. Going to try it out now actually.

Some yarns - even if they say they are the same weight are a little different in weight and that will effect it. Your tension also plays a big factor. If it came out quite stiff that could tell you. But not you can just work more rounds until it’s the size of the head that you need. Then work the sides ☺️☮️💙🎶
