For anyone interested, instead of doing the area for the lace in this video, I added a smaller version of the toe stop loop to the opposite side (8 stitches for me but measure your own distance) and sewed a little button to the top of my cover one row below that small loop. That way i can just put the small loop under my bottom lace and fold it down over the button to secure it. Saves having to undo and redo laces!

That’s a great idea Courtney!! Thanks so much for sharing 🥰

@@Katieree Thank you for the tutorial! Having these covers gave me a lot more confidence to go out to practice and not annihilate my boots. 😁

Amazing idea could you send me a pic. I’m a visual learner and love to see how it looks. Love the idea of not have to unlace skates.

Would love a pic so I can try this method.

@@josiefernandez822 Sorry, I don't have a pic of them to share! Mine looks just like this video but instead of creating the area where the lace would go through at about 13:18, I just repeated the toe loop band (chaining and skipping a few stitches) and sewed the button on once I slipped it on my boot and saw where my new loop would sit.

I am a beginner level crocheter and this was easy to follow and fit my size 9 Moxi Lollies perfectly. I used 8sc for the toe stop loop instead of 10.

Hi Sofia! You could either add an extra increase round or simply go up a hook size or yarn weight 😊 Enjoy! 💕

Thank you so much for the pattern ☺️ I just wondered how many stitches you are supposed to have when you have finished round 7? My toe stop loop and laces are not opposite each other.
@jacqueline94832 жыл бұрын
I had the same trouble, I think in the last round instead of 12 single stitches separating the top and bottom attachments, I might try 13 or 14 next time.
@danahvee2 жыл бұрын
Hey there! Awesome tutorial! Is there any chance you could explain what's the purpose of skipping 1 and doing two slip stitches at the start of round 8? And is it absolutely essential to the pattern?

Im having so much trouble figuring out how you finish the cirkle every time, I thought I was doing well but my cirkle has 37 stiches now which is way too many, must be doing it wrong >.
@josiefernandez8222 жыл бұрын
The circles go from 8, increase to 16, increase to 24, another increase to 32. That is when you repeat the rows 3 times.

mine is always rollling itself in the beginning.. idk if its the yarn or if im just too dumb :( cause its not a flat circle, after round 2 it starts creasing towars the middle...
@Katieree3 жыл бұрын
Hey there! It sounds like your hook is too small for your yarn. Go up a hook size and see if that helps! Also it won’t be completely flat.. it should be a dome so it hugs the toe of your skate 💕
@adelacespivova43873 жыл бұрын
can i still put it on if i dont have my toe stops on or is it going to fall off?
