Girls who can braid their own hair are the strongest people alive... change my mind
@lynncraig61514 жыл бұрын
@Natalie C....I agree. My mother taught me to braid my hair at 6 years old. She always wore braids and wore them up in a similar way, to the way this lady is doing. She was tougher than nails...very independent....worked hard in Woolen Mills.

I cannot braid my own hair. I've tried a lot but I can never do it right. I asked my husband to braid it for me and he couldn't do it properly either even after watching a hundred videos
@kristinajudd4 жыл бұрын
@@najiyaahammedpasha It's easier if you can try the braids out first on someone else so you know what to do and how to hold it. Once you've mastered that, just keep trying it out on yourself! Good luck

Switching hands is my challenge too. I was waiting for her to go over it when she said “I couldn’t begin to explain how to do that..just practice.” Gee thanks, so helpful!
@nathalycenteno87984 жыл бұрын
So I tried it and I did it... but my braid was so long that it kept wrapping around my head like three times ...kinda defeats the purpose. sooo now I have a long side dutch braid but I still love the look lol. And for anyone struggling to braid, what helped me was closing my eyes everytime I switched the strands so I can focus on where each strand is in my hand. Helps especially when your switching hands and when you go to the back of the head. Long as you know which strand is top, middle and bottom, all it takes is some practice and acceptance that you'll probably have to redo the braid a couple times before you get it right. You got this , you really do

If anyone has issues getting the braid wrapped around far back enough, just do it back as best you can and then braid the other part regularly and wrap them around your head and blend! It works just as efficiently!
@user-qt1bq5bw6i Жыл бұрын
Thank yoou! And I think I did better without looking at the mirror. I think what was very helpful in this video was how she told to see the middle one as the 1 to look out for. Like, whether you have the right as the middle or left as the middle, don't get all worked up, just see the middle as the middle and take it from there.

I always loved this hairstyle and wanted to learn how to do it. This year I got enough courage to try. Well, my first several braids didn't look like braids at all. More like a crow's nest on my head lol. I think the first time when I looked in the mirror and thought the braid turned out decent enough to actually go out was around my 10th braid. After ~20 braids I make them effortlessly, but they still don't look perfect, just okayish. But I don't lose my hope.
